Descansar Leitura bíblica: Salmo 37.1-9   _________________ Descanse no Senhor e aguarde por ele com paciência (Salmo 37.7a). _________________

O que seria descansar? Para muitos, é um momento tranquilo após um dia agitado ou um período mais longo sem atividades.

O texto de hoje fala em ‘descansar no Senhor’, mas este é um descansar diferente, isto é, ficar tranquilo diante das pessoas que não agem de forma correta. Neste salmo, descansar é confiar. Ele traz essa concepção como um conselho ao indivíduo que vive corretamente. Isso não significa que devamos ignorar as maldades de algumas pessoas, mas o texto lido tem um caráter didático que enfatiza a diferença entre a pessoa considerada ímpia (distante de Deus) e aquela considerada justa (aquela que age para agradar ao Senhor).

No entanto, como ficar tranquilo diante de tantas atrocidades que acontecem no mundo? Nosso papel, como cristãos, é continuar confiando no Senhor e fazendo o bem (v 3). É necessário, mesmo em meio a tantas coisas difíceis, colocar nossa vida nas mãos do nosso Deus e confiar nele.

Também com relação às nossas dificuldades e lutas é necessário descansar no Senhor. Diante de problemas, não é fácil ficar tranquilo ou confiar, ainda que seja em nosso Senhor. Mas sabemos que somente ele pode sondar nossos corações e compreender as angústias mais singulares ali encontradas. Esse é o conselho do salmista para aqueles que amam a Deus, e, se o salmista traz esse conselho, é possível esperar no Senhor por justiça e solução, tanto das lutas do mundo como também daquelas dificuldades pessoais que enfrentamos. Quem realmente pode nos fazer justiça é Deus. Quem realmente pode trazer a solução aos nossos anseios é o Senhor! Portanto, que o próprio Senhor nos ajude a caminhar sem ficar ‘indignados’ (verso 1) ou irritados (verso 7), mas confiando nele (verso 3), agradando-se nele (v 4), entregando-se a ele (versos 5,6) e descansando nele (verso 7).

What would be your rest? For many, it's a quiet moment after a busy day or a longer period of no activity.

The text today speaks in ' resting in the Lord ', but this is a different rest, that is, relax in front of people who don't act correctly. In this Psalm, rest is trust. He brings this conception as an advice to the individual who lives correctly. This does not mean that we should ignore the evil deeds of some people, but the text read has a didactic character that emphasizes the difference between the person considered ungodly (far from God) and that considered fair (one that acts to please the Lord).

However, how to stay calm in the face of so many atrocities that happen in the world? Our role as Christians is to continue trusting the Lord and doing good (v 3). It is necessary, even in the midst of so many hard things, put our lives in the hands of our God and trust him.

Also with regard to our difficulties and struggles it is necessary to rest in the Lord. Faced with problems, it's not easy to stay quiet or trust, even if it is in our Lord. But we know that only he can probe our hearts and understand the anguish more natural there found. This is the psalmist's advice to those who love God, and, if the psalmist brings that advice, it is possible to wait on the Lord for Justice and solution, both the struggles of the world but also those personal difficulties that we face. Who can really make us justice is God. Who can really bring the solution to our concerns is the Lord! Therefore, the Lord himself will help us walk without getting ' outraged ' (verse 1) or angry (verse 7), but trusting him (verse 3), pleasing him (v. 4), indulging in it (verses 5.6) and resting in him (verse 7).
