A leitura
bíblica de hoje é um trecho da história de Ester, moça judia que se tornou
rainha da Pérsia. Se você não conhece a história toda, seria bom ler o livro de
Ester desde o começo, para entender bem. Na passagem de hoje temos a citação de
várias pessoas: Mardoqueu, Ester, o rei Xerxes e os oficiais do rei, Bigtã e Teres.
Mal sabiam estes que Deus tinha um de seus servos escutando a conversa deles e
que esta ajudaria a salvar os judeus.
Vemos neste
texto a presença da mão invisível de Deus. Podemos perguntar: por que Mardoqueu
foi sentar-se junto à porta do palácio real justo àquela hora? O que levou o
rei a confiar na informação de Ester? O que levou o rei a perder o sono? O que
inspirou o rei e os historiadores a requererem exatamente as páginas que
registravam o episódio? Bem, mais adiante vamos saber.
Ao consultar a
história do povo de Deus, tanto nos tempos passados como em nossos dias,
percebemos que tudo acontece pela vontade e providência de Deus. Com ele não
existe obra do acaso, embora às vezes seja difícil crer nisso.
Outro aspecto
a considerar: as pessoas que não creem na atuação da mão divina em tudo que
lhes acontece caem no desespero quando coisas ruins lhes sobrevêm. Revoltam-se
e fica difícil ajudá-las. Aqueles que confiam na atuação soberana de Deus
tranquilizam-se e esperam o cumprimento dos planos de Deus, pois sabem que a
mão de Deus está por detrás de tudo. Mardoqueu foi exaltado, o aviso dado por
Ester foi ouvido, o rei foi salvo e, mais tarde, o povo de Deus também foi
salvo em virtude desse episódio. Deus é invisível, mas seu poder, sua proteção
e sua ação sempre são bem visíveis.

Today's
scriptural reading is an excerpt of the story of Esther, Jewish girl who became
Queen of Persia. If you don't know the whole story, it would be good to read
the book of Esther from the start, to understand well. In today's passage have
the quote from several people: Mordecai, Esther, king Xerxes and the officers
of the King, and have Bigthan planning. Little did these that God had one of
his servants hear their conversation and that this would help to save the Jews.
We
see in this text in the presence of the invisible hand of God. We can ask: why
Mordecai was sit by the gate of the Royal Palace fair at that time? Which led
the King to rely on information from Esther? Which led the King to lose sleep?
What inspired the King and historians to apply exactly the pages that recorded
the episode? Well, later we will know.
To
consult the history of the people of God in times past as in our days, we
realize that everything happens by the will and Providence of God. With him
there is no accident, although sometimes it is difficult to believe.
Another
thing to consider: people who do not believe in the divine hand in everything
that happens to fall into despair when bad things come to them. Rebel and it's
hard to help them. Those who trust in the performance of sovereign God reassure
and expect compliance with the plans of God, because they know that the hand of
God is behind everything. Mordecai was exalted, the warning given by Ester was
heard, the King was saved and, later, the people of God was also saved because
of this episode. God is invisible, but its power, its protection and its action
are always clearly visible.
