Como são felizes os que obedecem aos
estatutos [divinos] e de todo coração buscam [a Deus]! (Salmo 119.2)

Busca-se a
felicidade na realização profissional, em festas, amigos, num elevado padrão de
consumo, num grande amor… Tudo muito volátil, com prazo de validade de no
máximo um punhado de anos. Atribui-se a Pascal a ideia de que a alma humana tem
um abismo infinito que só pode ser preenchido por Deus; concordo, se o Deus que
se tem em mente é aquele que se manifestou de forma explícita e absoluta na
pessoa de Jesus de Nazaré.
Há quem
procure a Deus para resolver problemas de falta de dinheiro e saúde, consertar
relacionamentos e assim por diante, em um tipo de troca: eu obedeço, o Senhor
“abençoa”. É uma compreensão demasiadamente “coisificada” da vida. É verdade
que aquilo que desejamos pode até ser alcançado, mas como “subproduto” da
mudança de vida nos que se rendem a Jesus. Porém, tudo que recebermos está
longe de ser o que há de melhor em andar com Deus.
Jesus é descrito nas Escrituras como alguém acostumado ao sofrimento e
ao trabalho duro, sem um lugar seu para repousar; o dinheiro para seu sustento
ficava na bolsa de um ladrão que dizia ser seu amigo; foi perseguido, odiado,
traído, injustiçado e assassinado. Mas duvido que tenha existido sobre a Terra
homem mais feliz e realizado – simplesmente por andar de forma absoluta com
Deus, 24 horas por dia, sete dias por semana.
Deus propõe muito mais do que a humanidade tem buscado desde que o mundo
é mundo. Eu traduziria assim: “Essas coisas que tem ocupado seu tempo e
preocupação são passageiras e enganosas, venha andar comigo! Meu amor por você
vai muito além do que você pode imaginar, eu só quero seu bem! Deixe de teimar
que sabe o que é melhor, abandone a sua rebeldia, reconcilie-se comigo, aceite
a minha paternidade e venha viver de um jeito que lhe trará alegria e
realização desde agora e por toda a eternidade”. E então, você aceita a
proposta?

realização em andar com Deus do que a gente geralmente pensa.

Seeks
happiness in professional achievement, partying, friends, a very high standard,
great love ... All very volatile, with a shelf life of no more than a handful
of years. Attaches itself to Pascal that the human soul has an infinite abyss
that can only be filled by God; I agree, if the God you have in mind is one
that manifested itself in an explicit way, and in the person of Jesus of
Nazareth.
Some
people look to God to solve problems of lack of money and health, repair
relationships and so on, in a kind of Exchange: I obey, the Lord
"bless". Is an understanding too "coisificada" of life. It
is true that what we wish could be achieved, but as a "by-product" of
life-changing us surrender to Jesus. However, everything we receive is far from
the best in walking with God.
Jesus is described in the Scriptures as someone
accustomed to suffering and hard work, without a place to rest; the money for
his livelihood was on a burglar who claimed to be your friend; was chased,
hated, betrayed, wronged and murdered. But I doubt that has existed on the
Earth happiest man and carried out – simply by walking absolutely with God, 24
hours a day, seven days a week.
God proposes more than humanity has sought since
the world is world. I would translate like that: "These things that have
occupied his time and concern are fleeting and misleading, come hang out with
me! My love for you goes far beyond what you can imagine, I just want your
well! Stop harping that knows what's best, abandon its defiance, reconcile me,
accept my paternity and come and live in a way that will bring you joy and
fulfillment from now and for all eternity ". And then you accept the
offer?

There's more realization in walking with God than we usually think.
