Leitura Bíblica: Mateus 1:18-25

A virgem ficará grávida e dará à luz um filho, e lhe chamarão Emanuel, que significa ‘Deus conosco’ (Mateus 1:23).

José era um ser humano como qualquer outro, mas também se mostrava firme na prática dos princípios de Deus e da boa moral. Estava noivo de Maria e provavelmente apaixonado por ela. De repente a sua noiva aparece grávida. Não a querendo difamar e sabendo que ele não tinha nada a ver com aquilo, resolveu sair daquele relacionamento. Porém, o bebê tinha sido gerado pelo Espírito Santo, e então Deus revelou a José o que estava acontecendo. E disse mais: que José deveria dar à criança o nome de Jesus, pois ele traria perdão ao seu povo; também seria chamado Emanuel, que quer dizer “Deus Conosco”, conforme vimos no texto de hoje.

Todos estamos nos preparando para o Natal. Esta data nos lembra justamente que Jesus Cristo veio a este mundo e se tornou o Emanuel (a presença visível de Deus). Você quer algo melhor que isto? Mas esta presença constante só é uma realidade para aqueles que creem nele!

O que significa “Deus conosco”? Quer dizer que o próprio Deus se faz presente em nossa vida. Mas isso só será realidade se você crer em Cristo, arrepender-se de tudo o que desagradou a Deus em sua vida e a entregar a Ele. O Criador do céu e da terra, o Deus todo – poderoso, que esteve com Abraão, Isaque, Jacó, Gideão, Davi, Daniel, Pedro, Paulo e os demais apóstolos, também está conosco! Você consegue imaginar isso?

Seja num momento de alegria ou de tristeza, em períodos de dor ou sem dor, de doença ou de cura, de ganho ou de perda, ou ainda na ocasião de uma decisão importante, quando há muitas dúvidas: Deus está sempre conosco e nos dá o consolo e a direção de que precisamos. Seja qual for o momento que estejamos passando em nossa vida, uma coisa é certa: Deus está conosco! Você crê nisto? Se ainda não, Ele quer fazer parte de sua vida. Entregue-se a Ele e experimente sua companhia! – (Hans Kellert)

Bible reading: Matthew 1:18-25

The Virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and will call him Emmanuel, which means ' God with us ' (Matthew 1:23).

José was a human being like any other, but also was firm in God's principles and practice of good morals. Was engaged to Mary and probably in love with her. Suddenly his fiancée appears pregnant. However, the baby had been raised by the Holy Spirit, and so Allah revealed to Joseph what was going on. And he said: that Joseph should give the child his name Jesus, for he would bring forgiveness to his people; It would also be called Emmanuel, which means "God with us", as we have seen in today's text.

All we are preparing for Christmas. This date reminds us that Jesus Christ came to this world and became Emmanuel (the visible presence of God). You want something better than this? But this constant presence is only a reality for those who believe in him!

Which means "God with us"? Mean that God himself is present in our lives. But this will only be reality if you believe in Christ, repent of all that displeased God in your life and to surrender to him. The creator of heaven and Earth, the God-Almighty, who has been with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Gideon, Daniel, Peter, Paul and the other Apostles, is also with us! Can you imagine that?

It is a time of joy or sorrow, in times of pain or no pain, illness or cure, gain or loss, or even on the occasion of an important decision when there are many doubts: God is always with us and gives us the comfort and the direction that we need. Whatever the moment that we are going in our life, one thing is certain: God is with us! Do you believe in this? If not yet, he wants to be part of his life.
