Leitura Bíblica: Lucas 12:13-21
Não oprimam nem roubem o seu próximo. Não retenham
até a manhã do dia seguinte o pagamento de um diarista (Levítico 19:13).
Quem serão
seus herdeiros? Os credores? Familiares? O Estado? Quem merece o que ficou?
Alguns dos destinos para a herança poderiam ser um partido político, entidades
beneficentes, um clube ou talvez uma igreja. O texto de hoje mostra a
insensatez de ter a riqueza como prioridade, pois não sabemos quando
morreremos. Quase tudo o que sobrar pode ter um fim que não agrade ao que
deixou a herança.
Por
exemplo, um solteiro acumula riquezas, mas depois de sua morte outros
desfrutarão dela. Poderia ter aproveitado melhor seus ganhos em tempo de vida.
Se não havia compromissos familiares, por que não gastou seu tempo em benefício
do bem geral? Há tantos necessitados no mundo que, por diversas razões, não
conseguimos ajuntar o mínimo para seu próprio bem-estar. Por que acumular para
si, se os bens não poderão ser usufruídos?
Os judeus
seguiam alguns mandamentos de Deus que, se aplicados hoje, seriam a solução em
muitas vidas, sem prejuízo aos que muito possuem. Rute era uma viúva pobre e
estrangeira; Boaz era um homem rico, com fartura. O que aconteceu? Leia em Rute
2:1-13 o cumprimento do que estava escrito em Deuteronômio 24:19-22: as sobras
da colheita eram destinadas ao órfão, à viúva e ao estrangeiro.
As
desigualdades sociais existem há muito tempo. Todavia, devemos cooperar com a
justiça social. É do interesse de Deus que isso aconteça e assim mesmo haverá
fartura para o que sabe repartir. Muita fortuna existente hoje é fruto de
exploração e desonestidade. O versículo em destaque alerta para essa questão.
Precisamos
ser administradores fiéis de tudo o que Deus nos confia e então o pobre terá
mais e ao rico talvez sobre menos. Se você tem muito, não exagere nas sobras.
Alguém que talvez não mereça será o seu herdeiro. Então, para quem será o que

Do not overwhelm you or steal

Who will be his heirs?
Lenders? Family? The State? Who deserves what it got? Some of the destinations
for the legacy could be a political party, charities, a club or maybe a church.
Today's text shows the folly of having wealth as a priority, because we don't
know when we will die. Almost all the excess may have a purpose like that left
the inheritance.
For example, an unmarried
accumulates riches, but after his death others will enjoy it. Could have better
used their lifetime earnings. If there was no family commitments, why not spend
your time for the benefit of the general good? There are so many needy people
in the world who for various reasons, we could not add the least for his own
well-being. Why amass for itself, if the goods cannot be enjoyed?
The Jews followed some
commandments of God that, if applied, would be the solution in many lives,
without prejudice to that very feature. Ruth was a poor widow and foreign; Boaz
was a wealthy man, with abundance. What happened? Read in Ruth 2: 1-13 the
fulfillment of what was written in Deuteronomy 0:19 -22: the remains of the
harvest were destined for the orphan, the widow and the alien.
Social inequalities have been
around for a long time. However, we must cooperate with social justice. It is
in the interest of God make it happen, and anyway there will be plenty for what
you dish out. Much existing wealth today is the result of exploitation and
dishonesty. The featured verse alert to this issue.
We need to be faithful
stewards of all that God in trust and then the poor will have more rich and
perhaps on less. If you have a lot, do not overdo it in leftovers. Someone who
might not deserve will be his heir. So, for those who will be what you

exorbitant interest gather for some other, that will be kind to the poor"
(Proverbs 28: 8).
