Leitura Bíblica: Salmos 29

Proclamem a grandeza do Senhor comigo; juntos, exaltemos o seu nome (Salmos 34:3).

 Honrar a Deus significa dignificá-lo. É distingui-lo em tudo, dando-lhe prioridade em nosso viver. O nosso Deus merece isso e muito mais. Ele será entronizado nos céus e deve ser exaltado; esteve presente na terra na pessoa do Senhor Jesus Cristo e deverá ser honrado no novo céu e nova terra, eternamente. No Antigo Testamento lemos que os israelitas foram sempre chamados a honrar a Deus. Moisés fez isso quando experimentou o seu poder em tirá-los do Egito, caminhar com o povo no deserto escaldante e abrir o Mar Vermelho para que pudessem atravessá-lo (Êxodo 15).

Quando adoramos a Deus, achegamo-nos à sua presença para honrá-lo por quem Ele é, pelo seu poder, por tudo o que Ele significa para nós e pelo que tem feito em nossa vida. O salmista pede a cada um de nós que provemos o Senhor, e então saberemos que Ele verdadeiramente é bom (Salmos 34:8) – e muito mais do que bom! Eu sei disso: Ele faz maravilhas! Esteve comigo em cada desafio, “abrindo o Mar Vermelho”, por isso vou adorá-lo e honrá-lo com todos os fiéis.

Para honrar a Deus é necessário que estejamos comprometidos com Jesus. Se o rejeitarmos, por mais que pensemos e falemos sobre espiritualidade, não agradeceremos ao Senhor. Nas minhas caminhadas pela comunidade em que moro encontrei-me com um senhor a quem compartilhei a mensagem do Evangelho. Certa vez ele me disse que cria em Deus e o honrava, mas rejeitava o Filho. “É impossível”, respondi. Jesus é a expressão máxima da revelação do amor de Deus a todos aqueles que creem. É por isso que quando adoramos a Jesus estamos honrando a Deus. Os profetas do Antigo Testamento tentaram de muitas maneiras explicar o amor divino. Todavia, muitas pessoas nunca deram importância às suas mensagens. Então, Deus resolveu aparecer onde estamos. Quando entendermos que Jesus é a prova do amor de Deus, que veio buscar aqueles que vivem sem Ele, iremos honrá-lo sempre. – JOÃO GARCIA.

Ofereçamos honra e louvor àquele que veio a este mundo à nossa procura.

Bible reading: Psalms 29

Proclaim the greatness of the Lord with me; together, exalt his name (Psalm 34: 3).

 Honor God means to dignify it. Is distinguish it at all, giving you priority in our life. Our God deserves this and much more. He will be enthroned in heaven and must be exalted; was present on Earth in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ and should be honored in the new heaven and new Earth, eternally. In the old testament we read that the Israelites were ever called to honor God. Moses did this when experienced its power to get them out of Egypt, to walk with the people in the scorching desert heat and open the Red Sea so they could cross it (Exodus 15).

When we worship God, approach us to their presence to honor him for who he is, by his own power, for all that It means to us and for what he has done in our lives. The psalmist asks each one of us that we provide you, and then we will know that He is truly good (Psalms 34: 8) – and more than good! I know this: it works wonders! It was with me in every challenge, "opening the Red Sea", so I will worship him and honor him with all the faithful.

To honor God is necessary to be committed to Jesus.
