Confiança

Em que você deposita
sua confiança? Há pessoas que confiam nos seus tesouros acumulados. Outros
confiam nas promessas políticas. Também há aqueles que confiam numa liderança
religiosa. Não sei no que está firmada a sua
confiança, mas você sabe. Você já se questionou se ela é segura e
inabalável? Ela é duradoura ou é temporal e passageira? Tesouros terrenos podem
deixar de existir de uma hora para outra e, ao confiar em pessoas, corremos o
risco de nos decepcionarmos. Parece difícil confiar plenamente em alguém ou
encontrar algo que realmente seja seguro.
Ao olhar para a Bíblia, descobrimos a palavra
confiança muitas vezes. Mesmo que em nosso mundo seja difícil, é possível
confiar em alguém. Davi, ao escrever o Salmo 21, testemunha dos grandes feitos
de Deus em sua vida e da sua plena e total confiança nele. Davi tinha uma
certeza: o Deus a quem servia era fiel, e por esse motivo podia confiar nele
plenamente. Esta confiança chega a produzir alegria: é o que Davi afirma em
Salmo 40.4: “Como é feliz o homem que põe no Senhor a sua confiança”. Também
não há temor para aquele que confia em Deus. “Em Deus eu confio e não temerei.
Que poderá fazer-me o homem?” (Salmo 56.11). Essa confiança que Davi tinha em
Deus vinha desde a sua juventude. “Tu és a minha esperança, ó Soberano Senhor,
em ti está a minha confiança desde a minha juventude” (Salmo 71.5).
Como comentei acima, não sei no que está depositada
a sua confiança, mas quero convidá-lo neste dia a colocá-la em Deus. Ele jamais
o decepcionará, pois assim como foi fiel com Davi, será fiel com você. Mesmo
que você tenha sido infiel, Deus continuará cumprindo suas promessas. Vale a
pena confiar nele: você viverá com muito mais segurança diante das incertezas
deste mundo, no qual tudo é tão passageiro. Pois “quem confia no Altíssimo não
será abalado”. (MP)
A fidelidade de Deus permanece por todas as
gerações.

In
which you
deposit your confidence? There are people who rely on their accumulated
treasures. Others rely on political promises. There are also those who rely on
a religious leadership. I don't know what is firmed their confidence, but you
know. Have you ever wondered if she is safe and unshakable? She is enduring or
temporal and transient? Earthly treasures can cease to exist overnight, and to
trust people, we run the risk that the surest way. It seems difficult to fully
trust in someone or find something that really is safe.
When looking at the Bible, we
find the word confidence often. Even though in our world is difficult, it is
possible to trust someone. David, when writing the Psalm 21, witness of the
great deeds of God in your life and its full and total confidence in him. David
had a certainty: the God who served was faithful, and therefore could be
trusted completely. This confidence comes to produce joy: that's what David
says in Psalm 40.4: "how happy the man who makes the Lord his trust".
There is also no fear for he who trusts in God. "In God I trust and not fear.
That may make me the man?" (Psalm 56.11). That trust that David had in God
came from his youth. "Thou art my hope, o Lord, in thee is my trust from
my youth" (Psalm 71.5).
As I commented above, I don't
know what is deposited their confidence, but I want to invite you on this day
to put it in God. He never disappointed, because as was true with David, will
be faithful to you. Even if you have been unfaithful, God will continue
fulfilling its promises. Worth trust him: you will live with much more security
on the uncertainties of this world, in which everything is so fleeting. Because
"who can you trust in the Almighty will not be shaken." (MP)
The faithfulness of God
remains for all generations.
