Lei e graça

O povo de
Deus foi escravo no Egito por quatrocentos anos, em meio a pessoas com
costumes totalmente diferentes. Com sua libertação e peregrinação rumo à nova
terra, onde habitavam povos de cultura também diferente, fez-se necessária a
constituição de leis que regessem o povo para que fosse preservado e não se
perdesse, pois, embora sem terra, formavam uma nação e precisavam de uma
identidade.
A implementação daquelas leis foi muito
problemática, pois deveria ser extremamente minuciosa. Era da competência do
sacerdócio exercer, além da função espiritual, a de legislador, juiz e executor
de tais leis.
Porém, apesar de santa e perfeita, a lei foi
sofrendo desgaste, pois os mesmos que legislavam cometiam pecado, tornando
injusta sua aplicação e, sendo rigorosos na lei, esqueciam-se da misericórdia,
tão necessária para a compreensão do ser humano.
A graça de Deus não nos impõe mandamentos; seu
único mandamento é o amor. A força da lei está na punição; a da graça, no
perdão. Não deixarei de agir mal por causa de uma lista de regras, mas por amor
ao meu próximo e principalmente a Deus.
A lei generaliza porque é igual para todos, focando
na atitude e não nas intenções. Já a graça é diversificada por ser singular e
incomparável – considera tudo, tanto a prática quanto sua motivação. Jesus
curou e colheu espigas num sábado, tocou num leproso e num esquife, foi tocado
por uma mulher que sangrava e abençoou-a e deixou de condenar uma outra mulher
em flagrante adultério – atos que a lei condenaria. A graça de Jesus superou a
lei, estabelecendo outra regra para reger todas as nossas ações: a do o amor
manifestado em Cristo quando morreu por todos nós para que ao mesmo tempo a lei
fosse cumprida e sua graça derramada sobre a humanidade. (LFS)
Em Cristo prevalece a lei do amor.

The
people of God
was a slave in Egypt for four hundred years, amid people with totally different
customs. With his release and pilgrimage towards a new Earth, where culture
people inhabited different also, made necessary the formation of laws that preside
over the people for it to be preserved and not lost, because, although no land,
formed a nation and needed an identity.
The implementation of those
laws was very problematic, because it should be extremely thorough. It was the
responsibility of the priesthood to exercise, in addition to the spiritual
function, the legislator, judge and executor of such laws.
But despite saint and perfect,
the law was suffering from wear and tear, because the same people who did the
laws committed sin, making unjust application, being rigorous in law, would
suspend the mercy, so necessary for the comprehension of the human being.
The grace of God we not
commandments; its only commandment is love. The force of the law on punishment;
the da graça, in forgiveness. I will do something wrong because of a list of
rules, but for my next and especially God.
The law is equal for all
generalize, focusing on attitude rather than intentions. Already the grace is
diversified for being unique and incomparable – considers everything, both the
practice as their motivation. Jesus healed and harvested cobs on a Saturday,
touched a leper and a skiff, has been touched by a woman who was bleeding and
blessed her and failed to condemn another woman in flagrant adultery – acts
that the law would condemn. The grace of Jesus overcame the law, establishing
another rule to govern all our actions: the love manifested in Christ when he
died for all of us so that at the same time the law was fulfilled and your
grace poured out upon mankind. (LFS)
In Christ prevails the law of love.
