Deus existe

Certa vez eu
estava na sala de espera de um consultório médico. Como a consulta estava
atrasada, resolvi puxar conversa com algumas pessoas para aliviar a tensão.
Desenvolvemos alguns assuntos e, quando falamos de Deus, um senhor se
identificou como ateu. Ele disse que para ser feliz não precisava de Deus, mas
apenas de saúde, dinheiro, uma família unida e muitos amigos. Ele ainda elogiou
aquele momento de descontração, dizendo que antes de vir ao consultório estava
muito deprimido, mas aquela integração fizera com que ele esquecesse a tristeza
e agora sentia-se muito bem.
Confesso que no momento fiquei chateado. Os outros
estavam abalados e assustados com aquelas palavras. Respondi àquele homem que
tinha ficado contente porque nossa conversa lhe trouxera alegria e perguntei a
ele quem havia iniciado o assunto. Ele respondeu: “Foi você!” Então lhe disse:
“Hoje eu quis desmarcar a consulta, mas Deus me trouxe aqui. Creia, era para
lhe dar um pouco de alegria, pois você riu das minhas anedotas e das minhas respostas.
Quero dizer que sou um servo de Deus e se o senhor pensa que ser feliz é viver
nesse planeta, está enganado, porque a ‘felicidade’ aqui é maquiada. O senhor
precisa de Deus, sim!” Sugeri que ele lesse o texto da leitura bíblica de hoje
para ver e sentir onde podemos experimentar a verdadeira felicidade – no Céu!
Continuei: “Então o senhor não é feliz? Está doente?” Ele riu, resmungou e me
disse que tudo aquilo era coincidência. Respondi que iria orar por ele.
Deus existe e é tolice negar esta realidade. Porém,
apenas crer nisso não nos torna filhos de Deus. É preciso entregar nossa vida a
ele, confiando que Cristo morreu em nosso lugar e com isso possibilitou a
restauração de nosso relacionamento com Deus. Quando nos arrependemos de tê-lo
desagradado, ele nos transforma e nos dá a vida eterna. (ETS)
Muitos creem na existência de Deus, mas poucos
admitem que precisam dele.

Once
I was in the waiting room of a
doctor's Office. Because the query was running late, I decided to make
conversation with some people to relieve the tension. We have developed a few
issues and when we talk of God, a man identified himself as an atheist. He said
that to be happy I didn't need God, but only of health, money, a United family
and many friends. He also praised that moment of relaxation, saying that before
coming to Office was very depressed, but that integration had made him forget
the sadness and now felt very well.
I confess that at the time I
was upset. The others were shaken and frightened by those words. I responded to
that man who had been happy because our conversation brought him joy and I
asked him who had initiated it. He replied: "it was you!" Then said
to him: "today I wanted to clear the query, but God brought me here.
Believe, was to give you a little joy, because you laughed at my jokes and of
my answers. I mean that I am a servant of God and if you think being happy is
to live on this planet, you are mistaken, because the ' happiness ' here is a
makeover. You need God, yes! " I suggested that he read the text of the
biblical reading today to see and feel where we can experience true happiness –
in heaven! Continued: "So you're not happy? Are you sick? " He
laughed, groaned and told me that everything was a coincidence. I answered that
I would pray for him.
God exists and it's foolish to
deny this reality. However, only believing that doesn't make us children of
God. We must give our lives to him, trusting that Christ died in our place and
it made possible the restoration of our relationship with God. When we regret
having him displeased, he transforms us and gives us eternal life. (ETS)
Many believe in the existence
of God, but few admit they need it.
