Batalha

Não tenham medo, pois o Senhor, o seu Deus, que os tirou do
Egito, estará com vocês (Deuteronômio 20.1).

Quantas batalhas você precisa enfrentar em sua vida? Seja no seu lar, no trabalho, nos
estudos, nos relacionamentos, na área financeira, na área da saúde, etc.?
Algumas são mais fáceis de vencer do que outras, porém são batalhas e muitas
vezes nos assustam: causam medo, apreensão e ansiedade.
O texto de
hoje faz parte de algumas orientações ou leis para a guerra que Moisés estava
passando para o povo de Israel. Mas eu creio firmemente que os princípios
válidos para aquele povo enfrentar as batalhas também valem para nós hoje, pois
o Deus daquele tempo é o mesmo Deus dos dias atuais. Portanto, podemos aplicar
o que foi passado para eles também em nossa vida.
Moisés já
começa dizendo a eles que não precisam ter medo da batalha, pois o mesmo Deus
que os tirou do Egito os acompanharia. Mostra aos israelitas que se trata do
mesmo Deus que fez todos aqueles sinais e maravilhas para os seus pais na saída
do Egito. Embora muitos deles não tenham estado lá, aquela história era
repetida de geração em geração, de modo que todos a conheciam. O Deus que iria
às batalhas com eles é o Todo-Poderoso, para o qual não existem impossíveis.
Eles não precisavam ter medo, nem desanimar, nem ficar apavorados ou
aterrorizados, pois Deus lutaria contra os inimigos por eles - eles só
precisariam confiar nele. Deus lhes daria a vitória.
A mesma
coisa vale para nós hoje. Não precisamos temer as batalhas que precisamos
enfrentar, pois se formos fiéis ao Senhor, obedecermos a ele e nos submetermos
à sua vontade, basta orar e entregar cada uma das nossas batalhas nas mãos do
Senhor, aguardar suas instruções e partir para a luta. Ele nos dará a vitória!
Os inimigos a enfrentar podem nos parecer invencíveis, mas não são nada para o
nosso Deus.

How
many battles you need to face in your life? Whether in your home, at work, at school, in
relationships, in finance, in health care, etc? Some are easier to beat than
others, but are battles and often frighten us: cause fear, apprehension and
anxiety.
Today's text is part of some guidelines or laws
for war that Moses was going to the people of Israel. But I firmly believe that
the principles valid for these people face the battles still apply to us today,
because the God that time is the same God of today. Therefore, we can apply
what has been passed to them also in our lives.
Moses begins already telling them that need not
be afraid of battle, for the same God who brought you out of Egypt would
accompany them. It shows the Israelites that it is the same God who made all
those signs and wonders to your fathers out of Egypt. Although many of them
have not been there, the story was repeated from generation to generation, so
that everyone knew. The God who was going into battle with them is the
Almighty, for which there are not impossible. They need not be afraid or
discouraged, nor be frightened or terrified because God would fight the enemies
for them - they just need to trust him. God would
give them the victory.
The same is true for us today. We need not fear
the battles we must face, as if we are faithful to the Lord, obey him and
submit to his will, just pray and give each of our battles in the hands of the
Lord, wait for his instructions and go to the fight. He will give us victory!
Enemies facing us can seem invincible, but they are nothing to our God.
