Vitória

Graças a Deus, que nos dá a vitória por meio de
nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo (1 Coríntios 15.57).

Estamos na chamada “semana
santa”, época para nos lembrarmos como o Senhor Jesus Cristo sofreu quando
aceitou morrer em nosso lugar. É quase comum que grande parte das pessoas se
fixe apenas na morte, e permaneça lamentando o suposto homicídio! Não podemos
nos esquecer que Jesus entregou sua vida de forma espontânea, e que foi
exatamente para isso que ele veio ao mundo.
Como lemos no texto de
hoje, a vitória de Cristo destruiu a morte! O acontecimento que mudou a
história mundial, a crucificação de Jesus, não se encerrou ali, naquela
sexta-feira. O domingo chegou e, com ele, a grande notícia: o Senhor
ressuscitou! O túmulo ficou vazio para sempre. Ele não está mais na sepultura
nem na cruz. Temos um Deus vivo!
Quando Adão desobedeceu à
vontade do Pai no início da história humana, seus descendentes passaram a ter a
tendência a desagradar a Deus. Todos ficaram separados de Deus por causa disso
(Romanos 3.23). A morte nos foi atribuída pela desobediência de um só homem (Romanos
5.19), mas podemos receber a vitória eterna por meio de Cristo. O próprio Filho
de Deus veio ao mundo para libertar as pessoas da escravidão ao pecado, por
isso é chamado de Salvador (Mateus 1.21 e Lucas 2.11).
O que podemos fazer em
resposta a tão grande amor revelado em Jesus? A Palavra de Deus nos conclama a
permanecer na fé e a investir nossas vidas na obra divina. Para Deus, o serviço
que lhe prestamos não é em vão. Seria inútil, assim como nossa fé, se Cristo
não tivesse ressuscitado (1 Coríntios 15.14). Mas ele derrotou a morte e nos
convida a entregar nossa vida a ele. Se fizermos isso, ele nos transforma de
acordo com sua vontade e temos a vitória garantida (veja 1 João 5.4-5). Por
meio da fé, podemos enfrentar obstáculos nesta vida com a certeza de que
passaremos a eternidade com Deus.

We're
on call "Holy Week", a time to remember how the Lord Jesus Christ
suffered when accepted to die in our place. It's almost common that most people
fixate only on death, and remains lamenting the alleged murder. We can't forget
that Jesus gave your life spontaneously, and that was exactly why he came into
the world.
As
we read in the text today, the victory of Christ destroyed death. The event
that changed world history, the crucifixion of Jesus, not that ended Friday.
Sunday arrived, and with it, the big news: the Lord is risen! The tomb was
empty forever. He is no longer in the grave or the cross. We have a living God!
When
Adam disobeyed the will of the father in the beginning of human history, their
descendants have been given the tendency to displease God. All were separated from
God because of this (Romans 3.23). Death was attributed by the disobedience of
one man (Romans 5.19), but we can receive eternal victory through Christ. The
son of God came into the world to liberate the people from slavery to sin, so
it is called a Savior (Matthew and Luke 1.21 2.11).
What
we can do in response to so great love revealed in Jesus? The word of God calls
us to remain in the faith and invest our lives in divine work. For God, the
service that you provide is not in vain. It would be useless, as well as our
faith, if Christ hadn't risen (1 Corinthians 15.14). But he defeated death and
invites us to hand over our lives to him. If we do this, he transforms us
according to your will and we have the victory guaranteed (see 1 John 5.4-5).
Through faith, we can face obstacles in this life with the confidence that we
will spend eternity with God.
