Cidadão do Céu

Senhor, quem habitará no teu santuário? Quem
poderá morar no teu santo monte? (Salmo 15.1).

O texto de hoje descreve
as pessoas que são aceitáveis ao Senhor. Sua leitura nos leva a questionar o
que ocorre em nosso país e no resto do mundo. A grande maioria das pessoas não
está preocupada com o que diz a Palavra de Deus, nem mesmo aquelas que exercem
algum tipo de liderança. Mesmo se nos focarmos em alguns países que
aparentemente estão procurando agir segundo padrões melhores, não podemos
afirmar que sigam o padrão de Deus. A grande afronta está em locais onde em
nome de um deus – que não é o Deus de Davi e dos que verdadeiramente creem em
Cristo – se cometem muitas atrocidades motivadas pelo radicalismo religioso.
Jesus, os profetas e
muitos homens de Deus enfrentaram todo tipo de adversidade. Os apóstolos foram
perseguidos e quase todos foram martirizados. Mais atual ainda é o sofrimento
que vem sendo imposto a cristãos por não negarem a sua fé em Cristo. Temos um
exemplo contemporâneo de um líder cristão chinês chamado Nee Shu-Tsu, que
adotou o nome inglês de Watchman (sentinela) Nee e também o nome chinês
To-sheng (“alarme de sentinela”). Ele escreveu vários livros sobre a vida
cristã. Por causa de sua fé, foi preso em 1952 e morreu na prisão em 1972.
Assim como Paulo, mesmo naquela difícil situação ele afirmou que permanecia
alegre. A história desses cristãos demonstra que vale a pena viver e até morrer
por Cristo.
Quem entrega a vida a
Jesus deve ter uma vida digna do nome “cristão”. Por exemplo, deve ser íntegro,
não difamar nem caluniar, mas falar a verdade (sempre e sem pequenas mentiras)
e honrar o Senhor. Perdoadas por Deus, sejam quais forem os sofrimentos pelos
quais tenham de passar, tais pessoas receberão a maior das recompensas:
habitarão no Céu com ele!

sofrimentos!
Citizen of heaven

Lord,
who shall dwell in your sanctuary? Who can live on your holy Hill? (Psalm 15.1).

The
text today describes people who are acceptable to the Lord. Reading leads us to
question what is happening in our country and in the rest of the world. The
vast majority of people are not concerned with what God's Word says, not even
those who exercise some kind of leadership. Even if we focus on a few countries
apparently are looking for acting best standards, we cannot claim that follow
the pattern of God. The great affront is in places where in the name of god – which
is not the God of David and of those who truly believe in Christ-if committed
many atrocities motivated by religious radicalism.
Jesus,
the prophets and many men of God have faced all kinds of adversity. The
Apostles were persecuted and nearly all were martyred. Most current is still
suffering that is being imposed on Christians not to deny your faith in Christ.
We have a contemporary example of a Chinese Christian leader called Nee
Shu-Tsu, which adopted the English name Watchman (sentry) Nee and also the
Chinese name To-sheng ("sentry alarm"). He wrote several books on the
Christian life. Because of your faith, was arrested in 1952 and died in prison
in 1972. As well as Paul, even in that difficult situation, he stated that he
remained cheerful. The history of Christians shows that life is worth living
and to die for Christ.
Who
delivers the life Jesus must have a life worthy of the name
"Christian". For example, should be healthy, do not defame or
slander, but speak the truth (always and without little lies) and honor the
Lord. Forgiven by God, whatever sufferings by which, such people will receive
the greatest rewards: will dwell in heaven with him!

dedicated to pleasing him despite the sufferings!
