Teimosia

[Os habitantes de Judá dirão:] Não adianta. Continuaremos
com os nossos próprios planos; cada um de nós seguirá a rebeldia do seu coração
mau (Jeremias 18.12).

O texto de hoje é
intrigante. Seus personagens estavam vivendo um momento decisivo em sua vida:
Jerusalém fora destruída e uma parte do povo, deportada, mas alguns foram
deixados em Judá. Os babilônios nomearam Gedalias para ser o governador daquele
povo, mas ele foi assassinado. Temendo a reação dos dominadores, o povo queria
escapar deles e já estava a caminho do Egito (Jeremias 41.17). Então, por meio
do profeta Jeremias, perguntaram a Deus o que deveriam fazer e se comprometeram
a seguir a orientação divina. Deus respondeu, mas eles desobedeceram, indo ao
Egito (Jeremias 43). Por que perguntaram a Deus o que ele queria que fizessem
se não estavam dispostos a obedecer-lhe? Por que foram tão teimosos, mesmo
sabendo o que lhes aconteceria se seguissem seu plano?
Pior é que às vezes agimos
como eles: buscamos a Deus com nossa opção já definida, esperando apenas que
ele a confirme! Queremos a aprovação divina para nossas decisões já tomadas.
Mas se preferimos ser teimosos e continuar seguindo nossos planos e ideias e
não queremos cumprir o que Deus mandar, então para que perguntar? E ainda há
quem afirme que Deus mandou fazer isso ou aquilo, quando sequer buscou seu conselho…
Sempre
devemos buscar o que Deus quer para a nossa vida, mas há certos momentos em que
uma direção clara de Deus se torna vital. Por exemplo, quando surge uma
oportunidade profissional. Desejamos aceitar uma das opções que nos é oferecida,
mas será que esta é a que Deus deseja para nós? Deveríamos buscar sua vontade
sem depender da nossa, com a firme convicção de que, seja o que for, é o melhor
para nós e com a sincera disposição de obedecer. É preciso ter coragem para
cumprir o que Deus ordenar (principalmente se for a opção que não queríamos) e
confiar que ele nos ajudará a fazer isso.

posso dizer que estou obedecendo a Deus se não busquei sua orientação. Teimar
em seguir meus próprios planos é desobediência!
Stubbornness

inhabitants of Judah will say:] It's no use. We will continue with our own
plans; each of us will follow your heart bad's rebellion (Jeremiah 18.12).

The
text today is intriguing. His characters were living a decisive moment in your
life: Jerusalem were destroyed and a part of the people, deported, but some
were left in Judah. The Babylonians named Nuthika to be the Governor of the
people, but he was assassinated. Fearing the reaction of the rulers, the people
wanted to escape them and was already on his way to Egypt (Jeremiah 41.17).
Then, through the Prophet Jeremiah, God was asked what they should do and
pledged to follow the divine guidance. God replied, but they disobeyed, going
to Egypt (Jeremiah 43). Why God was asked what he wanted to do if they weren't
willing to obey him? Why were they so stubborn, even knowing what would happen
if you follow your plan?
Worse
is that sometimes we act like them: we seek God with our option already set,
hoping only that he confirm! We want divine approval to decisions already
taken. But if we prefer to be stubborn and keep following our plans and ideas
and we don't want to fulfill what God send, so why ask? And yet there are those
who say that God told me to do this or that, when even sought your advice...
We must always take what God wants for our lives,
but there are certain times when clear direction of God becomes vital. For
example, when a professional opportunity. We wish to accept one of the options
offered to us, but this is what God wants for us? We should get your will
without relying on ours, with the firm belief that, whatever it is, it's the
best for us and with the sincere willingness to obey. It takes courage to
fulfill what God order (especially if this is the option that we didn't want)
and trust that he will help us do that.

guidance. Nag to follow my own plans is disobedience.
