Guardei no coração a tua palavra para não pecar
contra ti (Salmo 119.11).

Nesta conversa com Deus, o
salmista declara o inestimável valor de conhecer e decorar a Palavra de Deus. É
sua principal arma contra a força da tentação.
Tiago, meio-irmão de
Jesus, esclarece que esta tentação emana do mau desejo capaz de arrastar e
seduzir o coração humano. Isso resulta no pecado (aquilo que desagrada a Deus)
que, uma vez consumado, gera a morte (Tiago 1.14-15). Assim como o corpo humano
luta constantemente contra os tóxicos que ameaçam sua vida, filtrando o sangue
pelos rins e o ar pelo nariz e pulmões, o cristão se protege contra o pecado
meditando na Bíblia e memorizando seus textos. Não há melhor proteção contra as
ciladas de Satanás do que a fé firmada na Palavra inspirada por Deus. Foi assim
que Jesus venceu as tentações no deserto da Judeia (Mateus 4.1-11; Marcos
1.12-13 e Lucas 4.1-13).
A vitória eficaz sobre a
tentação depende de dois princípios: a ação do Espírito Santo (que utiliza a
verdade bíblica para vencer o pecado) é essencial; além disso, é necessário
conhecer a Palavra. Diz o apóstolo Paulo: “Se vocês viverem de acordo com a
carne, morrerão; mas, se pelo Espírito fizerem morrer os atos do corpo,
viverão” (Romanos 8.13).
O autor de Hebreus declara
solenemente que “sem santidade ninguém verá o Senhor” (Hebreus 12.14b).
Cristãos que imaginam poder trilhar o caminho da santificação sem ler ou
meditar na Palavra, ou que apenas com o esforço próprio vencerão as tentações
que continuamente estão assediando seu coração, estão redondamente enganados. O
salmista sabe melhor. O cristão, guardando a Palavra de Deus no coração e
buscando o poder do Espírito pela oração, tem a melhor chance de alcançar a
vitória. O caro leitor está convencido de que o relacionamento com Deus por meio
da Palavra inspirada é o caminho mais seguro para vencer a tentação?

In this conversation with God, the psalmist declares the inestimable
value of knowing and decorate the word of God. Is your primary weapon against
the force of temptation.
James, half brother of Jesus, explains that this temptation comes from
the bad desire able to drag and seduce the human heart. This results in sin
(that which displeases God) that, once consummated, generates death (James
1.14-15). Just like the human body struggle constantly against the toxins that
threaten your life, filtering the blood by the kidneys and the air through your
nose and lungs, the Christian protects itself against sin, meditating on the
Bible and memorizing their texts. There's no better protection against the
snares of Satan what faith grounded in inspired Word for God. This is how Jesus
overcame temptation in the Judean desert (Matthew 4.1-11; Marcos 1.12-13 and
Luke 4.1-13).
The effective victory over temptation depends on two principles: the
action of the Holy Spirit (which uses the Biblical truth to defeat SIN) is essential;
In addition, it is necessary to know the word. Says the Apostle Paul: "If
you live according to the flesh, you will die; But if by the spirit you do the
acts of the body, you will live "(Romans 8.13).
The author of Hebrews declares solemnly that "without Holiness no

walk the path of sanctification without read or meditate in the word, or that
the effort itself will overcome the temptations that continually are harassing
your heart, are sorely mistaken. The psalmist knows best. The Christian,
keeping the word of God in the heart and seeking the power of the spirit
through prayer, has the best chance of achieving victory. The dear reader is
convinced that the relationship with God through the inspired Word is the
safest way to overcome temptation?
