obedecer a toda a lei que o meu servo Moisés lhe ordenou; não se desvie dela,
nem para a direita nem para a esquerda, para que você seja bem-sucedido por
onde quer que andar (Josué 1.7).

Tempos atrás ganhamos um
relógio cuco antigo. Estava há muito tempo sem funcionar. Fora consertado, mas
funcionava pouco tempo e parava. Trouxemos para nossa casa por ser bonito e
para, no futuro, tentar consertá-lo novamente.
Por
curiosidade, examinei-o por dentro. Percebi que a máquina não estava estragada.
Lubrifiquei, pendurei seus pêndulos, pus a funcionar, mas em pouco tempo parou.
Porém, à medida que o nivelava, funcionava por mais tempo. Regulei
milimetricamente. Para minha surpresa, está funcionando até hoje. Precisava
estar apenas aprumado, sem inclinação nem para a direita nem para a esquerda.
Quantos anos o relógio ficou parado por não se ter levado em conta esse pequeno
detalhe!
Se numa máquina isso é tão
fundamental, quanto mais em nossa vida! Ela é como uma caminhada cujo destino
deveria ser o céu, longe da escravidão que nossa rebeldia contra Deus nos
impõe. O único caminho nessa direção é Jesus Cristo (João 14.6).
O povo de Deus já passou
por um caminho assim. Saiu da escravidão no Egito rumo à terra prometida,
Canaã. No momento de tomar a terra, a liderança ficou a cargo de Josué. O
Senhor o encheu de promessas, mas foi necessário crer nelas. Crer não se passa
apenas na cabeça, mas se demonstra na vida prática, no dia a dia. E para a
missão ser bem-sucedida, Deus pede a Josué que não se desvie para nenhum lado.
O texto de Provérbios nos dá mais uma dica importante: olhe sempre para frente.
Nosso relógio esteve muito
tempo parado. Lubrificado e regulado, funciona até hoje, fazendo cuco-cuco. O
povo de Deus esteve muito tempo estagnado na escravidão no Egito (430 anos).
Herdou a terra prometida porque se pôs a caminho. E você, em que momento da
vida se encontra?

Jesus Cristo nos tira da estagnação causada pelo
pecado e nos dá novo ânimo!

A while back we got a old cuckoo clock. Was a long time without work.
Out fixed, but it worked and kept. We brought to our House because it's
beautiful and, in the future, try to fix it again.
Out of curiosity, I examined it inside. I
noticed that the machine was broken. Oiled, hung their pendulums, put to work,
but soon stopped. However, as the matched, was working for longer. I regulated
the millimeter. To my surprise, it's working until today. Needed to be
upstanding, without tilting to the right nor to the left. How many years the
clock was stopped for not having taken account of this little detail!
If a machine that is so fundamental, the more in our life! She's like a
hike whose fate should be the sky, away from slavery that our rebellion against
God imposes upon us. The only way this way is Jesus Christ (John 14.6).
The people of God has passed down a path like that. Out of slavery in
Egypt into the promised land, Canaan. At the time of taking the land, the lead
went to Joshua. The Lord filled with promises, but it was necessary to believe
in them. Believe it's only in your head, but if demonstrates in practical life,
day to day, and for the mission to succeed, God asks Joshua to stay anywhere.
The text of Proverbs gives us one more important Tip: always look forward.
Our clock was long standing. Lubricated and adjusted, works until today,
