Na
presença de Deus

Se tão-somente eu soubesse onde
encontrá-lo e como ir à sua habitação! (Jó 23.3).

Deus nos criou para se
relacionar conosco. Quando Adão e Eva ouviram passos no jardim do Éden,
imediatamente identificaram o Senhor, de tão comum que era a sua presença com eles.
Contudo algo terrível havia acontecido pouco antes: eles desobedeceram a Deus.
A presença do Senhor, antes prazerosa, agora parece assustadora. E infelizmente
essa é a realidade até hoje: por causa do pecado (ações e pensamentos que
desagradam a Deus), o ser humano foge da presença dele.
No entanto, Deus nunca
deixou de procurar o ser humano. E assim, desde o início da História, homens e
mulheres foram encontrados pelo Senhor. Pessoas conheceram a Deus e desejaram
viver em profunda intimidade com ele. Um destes homens era Jó. Num momento de
grande angústia, ele quer encontrar a Deus, ir à sua habitação. Os filhos de
Deus têm uma característica em comum: eles correm para a casa do Pai quando
chega a tempestade. Afinal, não há lugar mais seguro e confortante para
aguardar a tempestade passar. Quando estava escondido na caverna, temendo pela
sua vida, Davi diz: “Clamo a ti, Senhor, e digo: Tu és o meu refúgio; és tudo o
que tenho na terra dos viventes” (Salmo 142.5). Tanto Jó como Davi perceberam
que o melhor que eles poderiam ter na sua vida era a presença do Criador.
Haviam percebido a futilidade da vida, que todos os bens que possuíam nada eram
comparados à presença do seu Deus. No clamor de Jó não encontramos pedido de
cura e nem de prosperar novamente, mas o desejo de ir à habitação de Deus para
conversar com ele.
O que você tem procurado
na sua vida? A presença de Deus é o que mais lhe traz satisfação e conforto?
Saiba que tudo o que nos cerca neste mundo é passageiro e fútil. Ouse aprender
com Jó, e você perceberá como é bom estar na presença de Deus.

In the presence of God

If only I had known where to find it and how to go
to your room! (Job 23.3).

God created us to relate with us. When Adam and Eve heard steps in the
garden of Eden, immediately identified the Lord, so common that it was your
presence with them. However something terrible had happened shortly before:
they disobeyed God. The presence of the Lord, before pleasure, now looks scary.
And unfortunately this is the reality: because of sin (actions and thoughts
that are displeasing to God), the human being breaks out of his presence.
However, God never failed to find the human being. And so, from the
beginning of history, men and women were found by Mr. People they met God and
wished to live in deep intimacy with him. One of these men was Job. In a moment
of great anguish, he wants to find God, go to your room. The children of God
have a feature in common: they run for Dad's House when the storm arrives.
After all, there's no place safer and comforting to wait for the storm to pass.
When was hidden in the cave, fearing for your life, David says: "I cry to
you, Sir, and say: you are my refuge; you're all I've got in the land of the
living "(Psalm 142.5). Both Job as David realized that the best they could
have on your life was the presence of the creator. Had realized the futility of
life, that all the goods they owned nothing were compared to the presence of
your God. In the clamor of job did not find application for healing and even to
thrive again, but the desire to go to housing of God to talk to him.
What you've been looking for in your life? The presence of God is what
brings you satisfaction and comfort? Know that everything around us in this
world is fleeting and futile. Dare to learn from Job, and you'll notice how
good it feels to be in the presence of God.
