Por causa da minha integridade
me susténs e me pões na tua presença para sempre (Salmos 41:12).
Basta ler um jornal ou ouvir um noticiário para comprovar que o mundo
está corrompido social e moralmente. A violência está presente dentro das
escolas, no trabalho, em todos os lugares. Nas famílias, as drogas têm levado
filhos a matar seus pais e vice-versa. Hoje me dia até mesmo os bandidos presos
dão ordens de suas celas para que pessoas aqui fora sejam mortas. Temos de
concordar com João, que afirmou: “O mundo todo está sob o poder do Maligno” (I
João 5:19b). O terrorismo é assustador; além disso, estamos vivenciando um caos
social, em que familiares não se respeitam, alunos batem em professores e
alguns de nossos políticos, ao invés de dar o exemplo, praticam a corrupção.
O texto
bíblico de hoje nos mostra que Noé era um homem íntegro e que andava com Deus.
Como podemos ler no versículo 11, sua época era “cheia de violência” – não
muito diferente dos dias de hoje. O homem continua se corrompendo, desrespeitando
as leis e o próximo. Por isso temos de imitar o exemplo de Noé, que manteve sua
integridade mesmo em meio ao caos. Isso fazia a diferença em sua vida, porque
temia a Deus. O Senhor disse a Noé que daria fim a todos os seres humanos por
causa de tanta violência e corrupção na terra, mas o preservaria juntamente com
sua família, fazendo uma aliança com ele. Diante da fé sua e de seus
familiares, todos foram preservados do grande dilúvio conforme Gênesis 7:23. A
única família salva daquela tragédia foi a dele.
Hoje
precisamos estar seguros de nossa fé, sabendo o que agradaria a Deus e o que
não recebe sua aprovação, e demonstrar integridade em nossa vida cotidiana: nos
relacionamentos, no trabalho, na escola e nos momentos de lazer. Assim como o
Senhor guardou Noé e sua família, Ele protegerá a nossa se o seguirmos com
fidelidade, sendo um exemplo para nossos filhos para que eles também temam a
Deus – Elias Torres da Silva.
Nossa integridade fará
diferença neste mundo corrupto.

imitate the example of Noah, which kept its integrity even in the midst of
chaos. This was the difference in his life, because he feared God. The Lord
said to Noah that would end all human beings because of so much violence and
corruption on Earth, but would preserve along with his family, making an
alliance with him. In the face of his faith and his family, all of which have

that tragedy was his.
Today we need to be sure our
faith, knowing that would please God and what doesn't get its approval, and
demonstrate integrity in our daily life: in relationships, at work, at school
and in moments of leisure. Like the Lord saved Noah and his family, He will
protect us if we follow with fidelity, being an example for our children so
that they, too, fear God — Elias Torres da Silva.
