Disse o homem: “Foi a mulher
que me deste por companheira que me deu do fruto da árvore, e eu comi” (Gênesis
3:12).
As relações
entre as pessoas são inevitáveis e indispensáveis. Começam com o indivíduo e a
família, continuam na sociedade e, mundo afora, as nações buscam relações
“amistosas” umas com as outras. A Bíblia está repleta de ensinos sobre relações
entre indivíduos e nações, e também com o criador. No contexto da passagem lida
relata-se o problema do conflito entre os dois espias fiéis e os dez que se
opunham à ocupação da terra prometida. Houve até uma ameaça de revolução entre
o povo, a ponto de pôr as vidas de Moisés e Arão em perigo. Com a ameaça de
Deus aniquilar a nação, Moisés orou a Deus, que então a poupou.
Alguns
psicólogos ensinam que a criança desobedece pelo exemplo de outras pessoas.
Negam que haja outra razão. No texto de hoje, teria o povo desobedecido a Deus
levado por algum mau exemplo? Ou houve outra razão? No versículo em destaque,
quando Adão lançou a culpa sobre Eva, houve uma mudança sutil no relacionamento
dela com Adão. Pois, quando ela mais precisava de apoio perante Deus, não o
recebeu de Adão. Este ainda a ofendeu ao acrescentar que tudo acontecera porque
Deus havia feito a mulher que lhe oferecera o fruto! Adão desobedeceu à ordem
recebida diretamente de Deus. Por isso ele foi culpado, como Paulo diz: “O
pecado entrou no mundo por um homem…” (Romanos 5:12), mas adiante identificado
com Adão. Depois essa natureza pecaminosa passou de Adão a seus descendentes,
inclusive ao povo na passagem lida levando-o a rebelar-se contra Deus. Não foi
por alguma motivação exterior, pois, segundo Jesus, “do interior do coração dos
homens vêm os maus pensamentos” (Marcos 7:21). Juntamente por isso Jesus veio
morrer por nós: “Ele salvará o seu povo dos seus pecados” (Mateus 1:21b). Fez
tudo para nos reconciliar com Deus e nos chama: “Por amor de Cristo lhes
suplicamos: reconciliem-se com Deus” (II Coríntios 5:20). Esse é o caminho! – Teodoro
