Leitura bíblica: “Colossenses1:1-14”
Eu não me envergonho do evangelho, pois
ele é o poder de Deus para salvar todos os que creem, primeiro os judeus e
também os não judeus (Romanos 1:16).
Estava curioso, recentemente, sobre a questão de
quais frutas seriam nativas dos Estados Unidos. Resposta: não tantas quantas se
poderiam imaginar. Nenhuma das variedades comuns que pesquisei (maçãs,
laranjas, tomates) era nativa.
Ainda assim, pomares de maçãs destacam-se na região onde moro. Os tomateiros são verdadeiramente onipresentes, encontrados até mesmo nos lugares mais inesperados (no vaso do terraço dos fundos da minha casa). Frutas que antes eram estranhas ao solo americano agora estão arraigadas profundamente em sua paisagem rural.
Paulo invocou esta metáfora - de frutos estrangeiros florescendo em um novo habitat - para ilustrar como o reino de Deus está presente em nosso mundo. Escrevendo à jovem igreja de Colossos, Paulo descreveu o céu como a esfera onde a perfeição de Deus permanece imaculada, protegida do pecado e decadência da realidade humana. A totalidade da bondade e da autoridade de Deus reside ali, “... guardado para vocês no céu" (Colossenses 1:5). Porém, em seguida, Paulo fala sobre a intenção de Deus de trazer os céus para a terra. Jesus ensinou a orar precisamente isso: “... Que a tua vontade seja feita aqui na terra como é feita no céu!” (Mateus 6:10).
Como isso pode acontecer? Que espécie de canal Deus poderia utilizar para trazer a beleza e a alegria do céu para o lodo e doença de nossa existência? Paulo respondeu com imaginação e convicção: O evangelho que “... está trazendo muitas bênçãos e vai se espalhando pelo mundo inteiro” (Colossenses 1:6).
O evangelho não é meramente composto de fatos, ao contrário, é a história alternativa de Deus. O evangelho retransmite as intenções de Deus em Jesus. Ele nos reorienta a ação de Deus em Seu mundo. O evangelho refaz o mundo em qual penetra, implantando o fruto do céu em toda a parte que chega. Como diz um autor, “O evangelho é [...] um poder que foi liberado na terra”. – (Wimm Collier)
Considere: Em seu redor, onde estão os lugares que precisam dos frutos dos céus?

United States. Answer: not as many as you could imagine. None of the common
varieties that researched (apples, oranges, tomatoes) was native.
Still, orchards of apples stand out in the region where I live. The inoculation, are truly ubiquitous, found even in the most unexpected places (in the vase from the roof of my house). Fruits that were strange to American soil are now deeply ingrained in its countryside.
Paul mentioned this metaphor-foreign fruit flourishing in a new habitat-to illustrate how the Kingdom of God is present in our world. Writing to the young Church of Colossae, Paul described the sky as the sphere where the perfection of God remains unspoiled, protected from sin and decadence of human reality. The totality of goodness and of the authority of God resides there, "... kept for you in heaven" (Colossians 1: 5). But then Paul speaks about the intention of God to bring heaven to Earth. Jesus taught to pray just that: "... That thy will be done on Earth as it is done in heaven!” (Matthew 6:10).
How can this happen? What kind of channel God could use to bring the beauty and joy of heaven for the sludge and sickness of our existence? Paul responded with imagination and conviction: the Gospel that "... is bringing many blessings and will spreading all over the world" (Colossians 1: 6).
The Gospel is not merely composed of facts, by contrast, is the alternate history of God. The Gospel then relays the intentions of God in Jesus. He reorients the action of God in his world. The Gospel remade world in which penetrates, deploying the fruit of heaven everywhere that arrives. As an author, "the Gospel is [...] a power that was released on Earth" .- (Wimm Collier)
