Girassóis / Sunflowers

Girassóis Leitura bíblica: Oseias 11.1-12 _________________ Eu, quando for levantado da terra, atrairei todos a mim (João 12.32). _________________

Certo dia vi numa viagem uma plantação de girassóis às margens da estrada. Foi muito linda a visão daquelas grandes e chamativas flores amarelas. Passei pelos girassóis logo pela manhã e observei que todas aquelas flores tinham suas “faces” voltadas para o sol nascente que surgia no horizonte. Tive a impressão de ver uma formação militar de flores, todas perfiladas e olhando para o sol assim como soldados que olham para uma autoridade.

Pensei comigo: o que faria com que todas aquelas flores se voltassem para uma mesma direção? Que força de atração misteriosa haveria? Estaria essa força no sol ou naquelas flores? Não obtive respostas, pois estava só e nada entendo de girassóis ou de forças atrativas que atuem neles.

Meu pensamento voou então para nosso relacionamento com Deus. Quem é filho de Deus sempre volta sua face para ele. Então surge a mesma pergunta: que força leva a isso? Será que parte dessa força estaria em nós? Que méritos temos em ter nossa atenção voltada para o Sol Nascente que veio para brilhar sobre aqueles que estão vivendo nas trevas e na sombra da morte (Salmo 23.4)?Neste caso nós temos a resposta, pois afinal não estamos sozinhos: basta ouvir a voz de Deus na Bíblia!

Essa força misteriosa que nos leva a olhar para Deus é o amor. Ele afirmou: "Com amor eterno eu te amei; por isso com benignidade te atraí" (Jeremias 31.3 ARA). Em nós não existe mérito nenhum para essa atração, pois estávamos mortos em nossas transgressões e pecados e ele nos deu vida (Efésios 2.1,5). Nada nos capacita a olhar para o Pai - foi necessário que Cristo removesse com seu sangue tudo aquilo que nos separava de Deus.

A força que nos atrai ao Deus eterno é o amor dele para conosco. Você sabia disso? Afinal, Deus amou e ama o mundo com tal intensidade que nos deu seu Filho Único, para que todo o que nele vier a crer não morra, mas tenha a vida eterna. Deus é amor! (EDG)

Só podemos virar nossa face para Deus porque ele nos atrai por seu amor e sua graça.

Sunflowers Bible reading: Hosea 11.1-12 _________________ I, when it is lifted up from the Earth, draw all the me (John 12.32). _________________

One day I saw a trip a planting of sunflowers at the edge of the road. It was very beautiful sight of those big and showy yellow flowers. Past the sunflowers in the morning and noticed that all the flowers had their "faces" facing the rising sun that appeared on the horizon. I had the impression of seeing a military formation of flowers, all profiled and looking into the Sun as well as soldiers who look to an authority.

I thought to myself: what would you do with all those flowers if you return to the same direction? That mysterious force of attraction would there be? This force would be in the Sun or in those flowers? Not getting answers, because I was alone and I understand nothing of sunflowers or attractive forces that Act on them.

My thoughts flew then to our relationship with God. Who is the son of God always turns his face to him. Then the same question arises: which forces leads to this? I wonder if part of this force would be in us? That merits have to have our attention focused on the rising sun came to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death (Psalm 23.4)?In this case we have the answer, because after all we are not alone: just hearing the voice of God in the Bible!

This mysterious force that leads us to look for God is love. He said: "I loved you With an everlasting love; so with kindness you attract "(Jeremiah 31.3 ARA). In us there is no merit to this attraction, because we were dead in our transgressions and sins and he gave us life (Ephesians 2.1 .5). Nothing enables us to look to the Father-it was necessary for Christ to remove with your blood all that separated us from God.

The force that draws us to God eternal is his love toward us. Did you know that? After all, God loved and loves the world with such intensity that he gave us his only son, that whoever it comes to believe do not die but have eternal life. God is love! (EDG)

We can only turn our face to God because he draws us by his love and his grace.
