Qual é a maior necessidade do ser humano? Há
muitas respostas para essa pergunta. Precisamos comer, beber, vestir-nos. Todos
precisam de uma casa para morar. Alguns de um carro ou uma bicicleta para ir ao
trabalho. Outros necessitam de saúde. Tem aquele que precisa da companhia de
alguém. Enfim, as necessidades humanas são inúmeras. Contudo, todas elas,
apesar de importantes e às vezes fundamentais, ainda não são a maior. Tirando a
necessidade de comer e beber, podemos viver sem muitas das coisas que consideramos
importantes.
O texto que você acabou de ler fala de esperança.
Não de uma esperança qualquer, como comprar uma casa, ganhar uma promoção no
trabalho ou coisas semelhantes. A esperança de que se trata aqui está voltada
para a nossa maior necessidade: o perdão. Sim, ter o perdão de Deus é o que
mais necessitamos. Em Lucas 5.17-26 temos o registro da cura de um paralítico.
Se alguém perguntasse naquele momento qual seria a maior necessidade daquele
homem, creio que seria unânime a resposta de que ele precisava de cura física.
Mas ouçam o que Jesus disse ao ver o paralítico: “Homem, os seus pecados estão
perdoados” (verso 20).
O salmista afirma: “Se tu, Soberano Senhor,
registrasses os pecados, quem escaparia?” (verso 3). “Pois todos pecaram e
estão destituídos da glória de Deus” (Romanos 3.23). Mas por que o perdão é
necessário? É que “o salário do pecado é a morte” (Romanos 6.23). O pecado,
aquilo que desagrada a Deus, nos afasta dele. E somente obtendo o perdão
de Deus por meio de Jesus Cristo podemos aproximar-nos dele e receber a vida de
que necessitamos. Pois a vida verdadeira, plena e abundante, somente
encontramos em Deus e na pessoa do seu Filho, Jesus Cristo. Sem o perdão você
pode ter tudo nesse mundo, mas ainda assim não tem o que realmente necessita.

Satisfazer nossa maior necessidade não
custa nada. Jesus já pagou o preço para que gratuitamente tivéssemos o perdão
de Deus.

What
is the greatest need the human being? There are
many answers to that question. We need to eat, drink, dress, everyone needs a
place to live. Some of a car or a bicycle to go to work. Others need health. Have
one that needs the company of someone. Anyway, there are many human needs.
However, all of them, although important and sometimes vital, yet are not the
greatest. Apart from the need to eat and drink, we can live without many of the
things that we consider important.
The text you just read talks about hope. Not a hope any, how to buy a
House, win a promotion at work or similar things. Hope it comes here is focused
on our biggest need: forgiveness. Yes, have God's forgiveness is what we need.
In Luke 5.17-26 we have the record of the healing of a paralytic. If you asked
at the time what would be the biggest need that man, I think it would be
unanimous response that he needed physical healing. But listen to what Jesus
said when he saw the paralytic: "Man, your sins are forgiven" (verse
20).
The psalmist says: "If you, Lord, enregistrasses the sins, who was
going to make it?" (verse 3). "For all have sinned and are deprived
of the glory of God" (Romans 3.23). But why forgiveness is necessary? Is
that "the wages of sin is death" (Romans 6.23). Sin, that which
displeases God, we move away from him. And only getting God's forgiveness
through Jesus Christ we can approach him and receive the life that we need.
Because the true life, full and abundant, only found in God and in the person
of his son, Jesus Christ. Without forgiveness you can have everything in this
world, but still doesn't have what you really need.

already paid the price for that free had the forgiveness of God.
