Olhar adiante

Prossigo para o alvo, a fim de ganhar o prêmio do chamado
celestial de Deus em Cristo Jesus (Filipenses 3.14).

Realmente, não temos um alvo definitivo
neste mundo, porque sempre queremos mais e, de repente, alguma desgraça
imprevista, uma doença e - em todo caso - a morte, colocam um ponto final em
nossas pretensões. Essa expectativa (e não há outra) é frustrante para o mais
competente ser humano. Uma carreira brilhante chega ao fim, mas não ao alvo.
Conheço algumas pessoas que alcançaram fortuna e prestígio, possuem patrimônio,
os filhos se emanciparam, ainda há saúde e possivelmente bons anos de vida pela
frente. Poderiam dizer: atingi meu alvo, agora vou parar, descansar, viajar,
desfrutar o meu patrimônio e viver. Não sei se isso acontece alguma vez. Os que
depois de tudo isso ainda mantêm disposição não param. Continuam enquanto
podem, para não alcançar alvo nenhum.
Aí entra o nosso texto bíblico, que proponho reler.
São palavras de Jesus como advertência para nós.
O apóstolo Paulo entendeu isso muito bem, razão por
que mudou o seu foco. Sua nova orientação está expressa no versículo em
destaque. Sabendo então que o resultado do passado pouco vale e que existe um
futuro promissor para os filhos de Deus, vale a pena seguir o exemplo de Paulo
e buscar o alvo que está além do nosso limitado horizonte. Não despreze o amor
de Jesus que quer desprender você do que é passageiro, para entregar-lhe o
eterno.
Isso não significa que os bens adquiridos devam ser
doados a alguma entidade filantrópica e que você precise renunciar à riqueza
acumulada. O que é necessário é que daqui para frente sua visão mude e o valor
menor não seja considerado melhor que a vida eterna. Pare e tire tempo para
buscar a Deus e coloque diante dele como oferta sobre o altar a sua capacidade,
o seu esforço, a sua vida toda. Vale a pena. Faça da comunhão com Deus o seu
alvo.

Actually,
we don't have a definite target in this
world, because they always want more and all of a sudden, any unforeseen
misfortune, illness and-in any case-the death put an end to our claims. This
expectation (and no other) is frustrating for the more competent human being. A
brilliant career comes to an end, but not the target. I know some people who
have attained wealth and prestige, have equity, the children separated, there
are still health and possibly years of life ahead of you. Could say: I hit my
target, now I'm going to stop, rest, travel, enjoy my heritage and live. I
don't know if that ever happens. Those who after all this still keep will not
stop. Continue while you can, not to reach any target.
Enter our biblical text, that I propose to reread. Are words of Jesus as
a warning to us.
The Apostle Paul understood that very well, which is why he changed his
focus. Your new direction is expressed in the verse highlighted. Knowing then
that the result of the past is cheap and there is a promising future for the
children of God, it pays to follow the example of Paul and get the target that
is beyond our limited horizon. Don't discount the love of Jesus who wants to
release you from it's passenger, to deliver to you the eternal.
This does not mean that the goods purchased are to be donated to a
charity and you need to forgo the accumulated wealth. What is needed is that
from now on his vision to change and the smallest value not considered better
than eternal life. Stop and take time to seek God and put before him as an
offering on the altar your ability, your effort, your whole life. It's worth it.
Do the communion with God your target.
