Ingenuidade maligna

sinais dos céus, embora as nações se assustem com eles” (Jeremias 10.2).

Este texto é uma descrição
fiel dos nossos dias. Para justificar nossa vaidade, todos os costumes são
chamados de cultura. Deus, porém, sabe ver a maldade onde o homem não a
enxerga. A idolatria é chamada de arte, de cultura, de turismo, disso e
daquilo.
O verso citado diz: “Nem
se assustem com os sinais dos céus”. As nações vizinhas de Israel tinham um
deus para cada manifestação da natureza. O deus do trovão, das entranhas da
terra, do mar, do fogo, e assim por diante. Lembram alguns rituais costumeiros
hoje em dia. No entanto, viviam atormentadas, e isso aconteceria com o povo de
Israel se acreditasse que esses deuses existiam. Também hoje temos muita gente
cheia de superstições tolas.
Vejamos como a arte é
aplicada na fabricação de um ídolo. Corta-se uma árvore, um artista exibe seus
dons, acrescentam-se prata e ouro, o resultado é aclamado como uma obra de
valor, torna-se uma força econômica e grande fonte de renda em eventos
religiosos e a pessoa nem percebe que aquilo é aos olhos de Deus um
aproveitamento maldoso da ingenuidade alheia.
A maldade é tão patente
que Deus fala até com ironia para que o povo de Israel entenda a dimensão do
erro. O ídolo é mudo, não tem mobilidade, e sua utilidade seria melhor numa
plantação de pepinos, pois serviria para espantar os animais daninhos. Essa
ingenuidade é perigosa e pegajosa. Há, por exemplo, relatos de milagreiros que,
numa das epidemias de ebola, prometeram cura por imposição das mãos sobre os
enfermos, tendo depois eles mesmos contraído a doença.
A palavra que Deus
comunica a Jeremias é que por trás do ídolo está Satanás, pois o ídolo em si
mesmo não é nada. Servir a um ídolo é ofender a Deus – e isso é sempre leva à
desgraça.

This text is a faithful description of our days. To justify our vanity,
all costumes are called culture. God, however, know see the evil where the man
to see. Idolatry is called art, culture, tourism, this and that.
The verse quoted says: "don't be alarmed with the signs of the
heavens". The neighboring nations of Israel had a god for every
manifestation of nature. The god of Thunder, from the bowels of the Earth, the
sea, the fire, and so on. Remember some customary rituals today. However,
tormented, and lived this would happen to the people of Israel if I believed
that these gods existed. Also today we have a lot of people full of silly
superstitions.
Let's see how the art is applied in the manufacture of an idol. Cut a
tree, an artist displays his gifts, are silver and gold, the result is hailed
as a work of value, becomes an economic force and major source of income in
religious events and the person even realizes that it is in the eyes of God use
evil of ingenu age of others.
Evil is so clear that God speaks up with irony so that the people of
Israel understand the magnitude of the error. The idol is dumb, don't have
mobility, and your usefulness would be best in a field of cucumbers, as would
serve to scare away the pests. That ingenuity is dangerous and sticky. There
are, for example, reports of miracle workers who, in one of the epidemics of
ebola, promised healing by laying on of hands on the sick, and then they
contracted the disease.
The word which God communicates to Jeremiah is that behind the idol is
Satan, because the idol itself is nothing. Serve an idol is offending God-and
that's always leads to disgrace.
