Ingratidão

diz o Senhor: “Que falta os seus antepassados encontraram em mim, para que me
deixassem, e se afastassem de mim?” (Jeremias 2.5).

Essa pergunta poderia ser
feita a qualquer um no mundo de hoje. Tudo o que o homem faz – filosofias,
projetos, entretenimentos, religiões, economia – é utilizado para fugir de
Deus.
A continuação do verso em
destaque diz da comunidade de Jacó: “seguiram ídolos sem valor”. No mundo de
hoje Deus pode dizer o mesmo da maior parte da humanidade. A seguir o profeta
afirma que o Senhor não foi procurado. Quem hoje procura o Senhor e por que o
faz? Procuram-no por interesse pessoal. Parece que Deus só será buscado e
obedecido se suprir todas as necessidades e vaidades dos homens. Todos os que
perguntarem pelo Senhor deveriam enumerar as bênçãos que ele já lhes propiciou:
vida, família, saúde, cuidados, alimentação, ajuda de profissionais a nos
socorrer, desconhecidos que Deus transforma em seus servos para nos atender.
Faça uma lista das coisas que o Senhor já lhe proveu. Não esqueça de nenhum
detalhe. Horas, dias e semanas não serão suficientes.
Neste texto encontramos o
Senhor sofrendo acusações falsas, esquecimento das maravilhas operadas a favor
do povo escolhido, da provisão de uma terra onde havia alimento farto. Ele
merecia isso?
Deus observa que os
responsáveis em liderar o povo escolhido eram todos infiéis. Sacerdotes,
intérpretes da lei, profetas, todos faltaram com seus deveres. Vamos a uma
lição do Senhor Jesus. Ele estava diante do túmulo de Lázaro. Sabia que,
ressuscitando-o, despertaria o ódio dos seus inimigos, mas ainda assim deu
graças ao Pai, dizendo: “Eu te agradeço porque sempre me ouves” (João 11.41).
Como é difícil obedecer a Deus e agradecer-lhe quando sabemos que isso nos
trará sofrimento. A ingratidão para com Deus é irmã gêmea da incredulidade. É
grave porque demonstra falta de amor a ele, e o amor a Deus é o maior de todos
os mandamentos.

lack their ancestors found in me, that they'd let me, and away from me?"
(Jeremiah 2.5).

This question could be made to anyone in the world today. Everything the
man does-philosophies, designs, entertainment, religion, economy – is used to
run away from God.
The continuation of the verse highlighted says the community of Jacob:
"followed worthless idols". In today's world, God can say the same of
most of humanity. Then the Prophet States that the Lord was not sought. Who
today seek the Lord and why do it? Seeking for personal interest. It seems that
God will only be fetched and obeyed if meet all needs and vanities of men. All
I ask of the Lord should enumerate the blessings he gave them: life, family,
health, care, food, professional help to assist us, unknown God transforms into
his slaves to us. Make a list of the things you have already provided. Don't
forget any details. Hours, days and weeks will not be sufficient.
In this text we find the Lord suffered false accusations, oblivion of
wonders operated in favour of the chosen people, the provision of a land where
there was food. He deserved it?
God says that those responsible in leading the chosen people were all
infidels. Priests, interpreters of the law, prophets, all missed with his
duties. Let's do a lesson of the Lord Jesus. He stood before the tomb of
Lazarus. Knew, resurrecting him, awoke the hatred of their enemies, but still
gave thanks to his father, saying: "I thank you because you always listen
to me" (John 11.41). How hard it is to obey God and thank him when we know
that it will bring us suffering. Ingratitude towards God is twin sister of
unbelief. It is serious because it shows a lack of love for him, and the love
of God is the greatest of all the commandments.
