Interceder

Leitura bíblica: Filipenses 1.3-11

Amado, oro para que você tenha boa saúde e tudo lhe corra bem, assim como vai bem a sua alma (3 João 1.2).

Uma antiga canção dizia: “A carga é pesada para levar e a montanha não subirei se tu não oras por mim.” A carga é pesada: é certo que não podemos carregá-la sozinhos. Todos nós precisamos de Deus e também uns dos outros. Temos de deixar de nos preocupar apenas com os nossos problemas e passar a interceder mais pelas outras pessoas. Paulo preocupou-se em orar pelos filipenses, mesmo passando por grandes dificuldades.

Ele agradecia a Deus toda vez que se lembrava deles (verso 3). É um bom hábito, que vale a pena imitar. Às vezes lembramos de alguém quando ouvimos uma música, quando tomamos uma refeição ou quando vamos a algum lugar. Lembrar de alguém é uma oportunidade que Deus nos dá de orar pela pessoa.

Ele cita também sua alegria com a cooperação dos filipenses na causa do evangelho (versos 4b-5). Paulo demonstra ser um homem que se fixava nas coisas positivas que tinham acontecido. Quando lembramos de alguém, podemos lembrar dos maus ou bons momentos daquela pessoa. Paulo lembrava-se com alegria do que eles tinham feito pelo evangelho. Ele conseguia ver o bem na vida daqueles irmãos e orava por eles na certeza de que Deus continuaria a abençoá-los. Confiava em que Deus levaria adiante a obra que havia começado na vida deles. Precisamos lembrar daquilo que nossos irmãos fizeram de bom e interceder para que Deus continue a usar a vida deles.

Paulo também deixa claro aqui que seu alvo principal de intercessão eram aqueles cristãos – seus irmãos em Cristo – que cooperavam com ele no trabalho da igreja. Ele diz que os têm no coração e que participam com ele da graça de Deus (verso 7). Devemos interceder pelas autoridades e por todas as pessoas, mas principalmente guardar o coração aqueles que nos acompanham na vida cristã.

Intercede

Beloved, I pray that you have good health and everything runs smoothly, as well as doing well to your soul (3 John 1.2).

An old song said: "the load is heavy to carry and the mountain will ascend if you don't not oras for me." The load is heavy: it is right that we can't carry it alone. We all need God and also each other. We've got to worry about just with our problems and move on to intercede more for other people. Paul was praying for the Philippians, even going through major difficulties.

He thanked God every time I remember them (verse 3). It's a good habit, that it's worth imitating. Sometimes we remember when we heard a song, when we take a meal or when we're going somewhere. Remember someone is an opportunity that God gives us to pray for the person.

He also cites your joy with the cooperation of Philippians in the cause of the Gospel (vs. 4b-5). Paul proves to be a man who established the positive things that had happened. When we remember someone, we can remember the bad or good moments of that person. Paul remembered with joy than they had done for the Gospel. He could see the good in the lives of those brothers and pray for them in the certainty that God would continue to bless them. Trusted that God would take forward the work that had begun in their lives. We need to remember what our brothers have made good and intercede for God to continue to use their lives.

Paul also makes it clear here that your main target of intercession were those Christians – their brethren in Christ – who cooperated with him in the work of the Church. He says that the have in heart and participating with him the grace of God (verse 7). We must intercede by authorities and by all the people, but mainly keep the heart those who accompany us in the Christian life.
