Paulo Leitura bíblica: Atos 9.1-6  _________________ O Senhor disse a Ananias: “Vá! Este homem é meu instrumento escolhido para levar o meu nome perante os gentios e seus reis, e perante o povo de Israel” (Atos 9.15). _________________

Escrever uma minibiografia do apóstolo Paulo não é fácil. Vou tentar e destacar alguns de seus princípios que possam servir ao nosso desenvolvimento espiritual. Cidade de origem: Tarso, hoje Turquia, então Império Romano. Idade: desconhecida, mas deve ter sido próxima à de Cristo. Sua morte se deu sob Nero, entre 64 e 68 de nossa era. Religião: judeu messiânico, na linguagem de hoje. Profissão: fazedor de tendas. Escolaridade: fariseu educado aos pés de Gamaliel, grande mestre do judaísmo.

Falando de si mesmo, Paulo destaca em Filipenses 3.5 sua condição de israelita circuncidado, da tribo de Benjamim, verdadeiro hebreu, fariseu zeloso e perseguidor da igreja, irrepreensível pela lei de Israel.

Paulo era judeu de corpo e alma, mas escolhido por Deus para ser o apóstolo dos povos não-judeus. Seu ministério deve ter durado uns 30 anos. Certamente falava hebraico, aramaico, grego e latim. Vejamos ainda alguns de seus ensinos, tirados de suas epístolas, que possam servir para nossa edificação, fortalecimento e fé: Nós que somos fortes, devemos suportar as fraquezas dos fracos (Romanos 15.1). Nosso corpo é santuário de Deus e o Espírito de Deus habita em nós (1 Coríntios 3.16). Mesmo entristecidos, continuamos sempre alegres (2 Coríntios 6.10). Se vivermos pelo Espírito, não ficaremos escravizados pela carne (Gálatas 5.16). Cristo é a nossa paz (Efésios 2.14). Aprendi a adaptar-me a toda e qualquer circunstância (Filipenses 4.11). Dediquem-se à oração, estejam alertas e sejam agradecidos (Colossenses 4.2). O Senhor conduza o coração de vocês ao amor de Deus e à perseverança de Cristo (2 Tessalonicenses 3.5). Combata o bom combate, mantendo a fé (1 Timóteo 1.18-19). Fortifique-se na graça que há em Cristo Jesus (2 Timóteo 2.1). Em tudo seja você mesmo um exemplo para eles, fazendo boas obras (Tito 2.7). Orar pelos irmãos na fé (Filemom 4).

Andwrite a small biography of the Apostle Paul is not easy. I'll try and highlight some of their principles that can serve our spiritual development. City of origin: Tarsus, Turkey today, then the Roman Empire. Age: unknown, but must have been close to that of Christ. His death occurred under Nero between 64 and 68 of our era. Religion: Jewish messianic, in the language of today. Profession: tent-maker. Education: educated Pharisee at the feet of Gamaliel, Grand Master of Judaism.

Speaking of himself, Paul stands out in Philippians 3.5 its Israeli circumcised, of the tribe of Benjamin, true Hebrew, zealous Pharisee and stalker of the Church, beyond reproach by Israel.

Paul was a Jew of body and soul, but chosen by God to be the Apostle of non-Jews. His Ministry must have lasted some 30 years. Certainly spoke Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek and Latin. Let's see some of his teachings, taken from his Epistles, that for our edification, strengthening and faith: we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of the weak (15.1). Our body is shrine of God and the spirit of God dwells in us (1 Corinthians 3.16). Even saddened, we still always cheerful (2 Corinthians 6.10). If we live by the spirit, we will not be enslaved by the flesh (Galatians 5.16). Christ is our peace (Ephesians 2.14). I learned to adapt to any circumstance (Philippians 4.11). Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful (Colossians 4.2). The Lord will lead you to the heart of God's love and Christ's perseverance (2 Thessalonians 3.5). Fight the good fight, keeping the faith (1 Timothy 1.18-19). Fortify yourself in the grace that is in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 2.1). In all be yourself an example to them, doing good works (Titus 2.7). Pray for brothers and sisters in the faith (Philemon 4).
