Que chamado!

Aquela nação ... saberá que um profeta esteve no meio dela (Ezequiel
2.5).

A visão veio com uma ordem: “Fique em pé!” Logo depois, o próprio
Espírito de Deus colocou Ezequiel em pé. A missão era tão pesada que o profeta
não se sustentaria. O chamado de Deus não poderá ser levado a cabo sem forças
que venham dele. Esquecer esse aviso é um desastre na vida cristã.
O texto de
hoje descreve o estado espiritual do povo de Deus. O mal predominava. As
pessoas – parte no exílio na Babilônia e parte em Jerusalém – viviam
impenitentes e rebeldes contra a vontade de Deus. Essa rebeldia – ou pecado – é
hereditária, tal como em Jerusalém e na Babilônia – por dentro e por fora de
nós. Lloyd Jones afirma em um de seus livros que vez por outra pergunta a si
mesmo: “Como posso viver com Deus pensando o que estou pensando?” E olhe que
ele foi um clarão no escuro céu espiritual da Europa do século XX.
O pecado é
resistência à vontade divina. Os dias de Ezequiel foram difíceis, mas será que
os nossos são melhores? A começar por nossas famílias e indo à sociedade em
geral, o que mais se faz é contrariar a vontade divina. Então cabe perguntar se
não teríamos o mesmo chamado em dias tão difíceis ou até piores. O desafio para
permanecer firme com Deus persiste. É preciso assumir a mesma atitude que Deus
requereu de Ezequiel, necessária para alguém poder atuar como profeta neste
mundo. Depois que o juízo vier, os julgados saberão que houve um profeta entre
eles, e Deus exercerá sua justiça sem contestação. Não há maior glória para um
mortal do que ser escolhido como testemunha de Deus.
O chamado é
difícil, mas Deus quer dar chances, pois é misericordioso e nossa indiferença
ao seu chamado fere seu coração. Nosso mundo não deve ser encarado como
problema, mas como desafio. Quanto maior o desafio, maior a responsabilidade,
mas também maior o prêmio que nos espera. Possamos dizer como Paulo: “Combati o
bom combate”.

The vision
came with an order: "stand up!" Soon after, the very spirit of God
put Ezekiel standing. The mission was so heavy that the Prophet did not stand
up. The call of God cannot be carried out without forces that come to him.
Forget this warning is a disaster in the Christian life.
The
text today describes the spiritual state of the people of God. Evil
predominated. People-part in the exile in Babylon and Jerusalem
part-unrepentant rebels lived against the will of God. This rebellion-or Sin –
is hereditary, as in Jerusalem and Babylon – inside and outside of us. Lloyd
Jones says in one of his books that time for another question to himself:
"How can I live with God thinking what I'm thinking?" And he was a
Flash in the dark spiritual sky of Europe of the 20th century.
The
sin is resistance to divine will. The days of Ezekiel were difficult, but ours
are best? Starting with our families and to society in General, what more does
is counter to the divine will. Then it's up to ask if we would not have the
same called in days so difficult or even worse. The challenge to remain
steadfast with God persists. You need to take the same attitude that God
required of Ezekiel, necessary for someone to be able to act as a Prophet in
this world. After the judgment comes, the judges will know that there's been a
prophet among them, and God shall exercise his justice unchallenged. There is
no greater glory for a mortal than being chosen as a witness for God.
The
call is difficult, but God wants to take chances because it is merciful and our
indifference to its called hurts your heart. Our world must not be seen as a
problem, but as a challenge. The bigger the challenge, the greater the
responsibility, but also the greater the prize that awaits us. We can say as
Paul: "I fought the good fight".
