que vejam as suas boas obras e glorifiquem ao Pai de vocês, que está nos céus
(Mateus 5.16).

A leitura
bíblica de hoje diz que Jesus é a luz da vida e que devemos segui-lo para não
ficarmos nas trevas. Dá a entender que nas trevas a vida será vazia e sem
sentido. O mundo encontra-se em trevas, longe da luz, cheio de maldade, inveja,
desrespeito, ambição, egoísmo, desonestidade, corrupção, adultério e vícios,
entre outros males.
Faço um
paralelo da leitura de hoje com a flor girassol: o seu nome liga a flor ao sol.
O girassol gira o caule sempre posicionando a flor na direção do sol. Ele tem
uma substância que a ajuda a crescer e que responde à ação da luz solar. Assim,
o girassol gira sempre estimulado pela luz. Numa plantação de girassóis vemos a
flor se mover à medida que o sol segue seu curso ao longo do dia. Quando cessa
a luz do sol, a planta retorna à sua posição original, voltando-se para baixo.
O girassol se volta para onde o sol estiver mesmo que este esteja escondido
atrás de uma nuvem. Ele sempre busca a luz, precisa da luz, não vive sem ela.
Alguns
ensinamentos que o girassol nos dá: 1. Ele precisa da luz do sol para viver;
nós também dependemos da luz, da luz de Deus em nosso espírito. 2. Precisamos
ser como o girassol, que segue a luz para onde ela vai, mesmo em dias nublados
e difíceis. 3. Para o girassol, quanto mais luz melhor – assim deve ser também
nossa conduta perante Deus, dependendo dele em todos os momentos de nossa vida.
4. Além de sempre acompanhar a luz, o girassol se recolhe perante a escuridão,
não se deixando levar por ela – é preciso evitar condutas que não estejam
iluminadas pelo Espírito de Deus.
De hoje em
diante, quando você perceber que está desanimado, revoltado ou deprimido, que
possa lembrar-se de ser girassol. Acredite no poder da Luz, da luz de Jesus,
para neutralizar qualquer situação ruim e transformar sua vida em uma
verdadeira benção de Deus!
