Em certo
período de sua vida, Davi foi intensamente perseguido. Ele passou por diversas
dificuldades, até mesmo em sua família. Mesmo assim, encontrou inspiração para
nos presentear com este lindo salmo. Nele, demonstra compreender que é apenas
uma ovelha sob o cuidado do Pastor, que é Deus. Assim, sabe que depende dele
para tudo e nele confia. Tal como um pastor provê alimento, água e um lugar
tranquilo para suas ovelhas, Davi sabia que receberia de Deus aquilo de que
necessitava. Ele acreditava que depois de uma longa caminhada de lutas
descansaria num lugar aprazível.
Enquanto isso
não acontecia, pediu novas forças para permanecer fiel e agradando ao Senhor
com sua vida. Sabia que o ser humano precisa ser constantemente guiado por
Deus, pois sua tendência é escolher atalhos que se revelam caminhos errados
depois. Mas, se isso acontecesse, o cajado do Pastor o conduziria novamente na
direção certa, protegendo-o dos perigos. Também podia ter a segurança de que,
mesmo diante da morte, o Pastor estaria com ele: o Senhor não o desampararia. O
cuidado, a bondade e a fidelidade experimentados em sua vida seriam uma honra
diante de seus inimigos.
Neste salmo,
Davi expressou os privilégios que tem a ovelha desse Pastor. Podemos aplicá-los
também aos filhos de Deus hoje. Quem confia no Senhor sabe que ele conhece suas
necessidades e as suprirá; recebe a direção correta; é restaurado quando não
tem mais forças; não precisa temer ao passar por dificuldades; é corrigido pelo
Pai se seguir por um caminho errado e será honrado por sua fidelidade. Jesus
declarou que é o bom pastor (veja o versículo em destaque) e chegou ao ponto de
entregar sua vida pelas ovelhas. Quando estas compreendem isso e se dedicam
inteiramente a ele, desfrutam da vida plena que ele prometeu (João 10.10b)
agora e pela eternidade.

At
one period of his life, David was intensely persecuted. He went through several
difficulties, even in your family. Even so, found inspiration to present us
with this beautiful Psalm. In it, demonstrates that it is only a sheep understand
under the care of the Shepherd, that is God. So, you know that depends on him
for everything and trust. As a pastor provides food, water and a quiet place
for your sheep, David knew he would receive from God what he needed. He
believed that after a long walk someplace pleasant rest fights.
While
that didn't happen, asked for new forces to remain faithful and pleasing to the
Lord with your life. Did you know that the human being needs to be constantly
guided by God, because their tendency is to choose shortcuts which are wrong
turns later. But, if that were to happen, the staff of the shepherd the lead
again in the right direction, protecting him from danger. It could also have
the assurance that, even in the face of death, the Pastor would be with him: you
would leave. The care, kindness and faithfulness experienced in your life would
be an honor to stand before your enemies.
In
this Psalm, David expressed the privileges that has the sheep of this Pastor.
We can apply them also to the children of God today. Those who trust in the
Lord, you know that he knows your needs and supply; receives the right
direction; is restored when you have no strength; you don't have to fear to go
through difficulties; is fixed by the Father if you follow for a wrong path and
will be honored for their fidelity. Jesus declared that he is the good Shepherd
(see verse headlines) and went so far as to give his life for the sheep. When
they understand that and are dedicated entirely to him, enjoying the full life
that he promised (John 10.10 b) now and for eternity.

Sheep of the good Shepherd is a privilege unparalleled.
