O Caminho

Para que serve
um caminho? Serve para andar, caminhar, passear, etc., e principalmente para
nos levar a um determinado lugar. Quando pretendemos viajar, em primeiro lugar
definimos para onde queremos ir. Em segundo lugar escolhemos o caminho pelo
qual iremos, e este, uma vez escolhido, nos ajudará a alcançar o nosso
objetivo.
Se sairmos pelas ruas perguntando se as pessoas querem ir para o céu ou
para o inferno, teremos a resposta óbvia: “Claro que quero ir para o céu.” Se,
então, perguntarmos como se faz para chegar lá, as respostas serão bem
variadas: “É preciso ser religioso”, “É preciso guardar os Dez Mandamentos”, “É
preciso fazer boas obras”, “É preciso ser bonzinho”, “É preciso tratar bem os
outros” e por aí afora. Mas a única resposta certa é: Jesus Cristo. Não será
esta ou aquela religião, não importam regras que você cumpra: a única resposta
mesmo é Jesus Cristo. Essas coisas mencionadas acima de fato fazem parte da
vida cristã e eu também as pratico. Não tenho nada contra elas, mas o que quero
deixar bem claro é que o único meio de chegar ao céu, ou seja, ter a vida
eterna, é Jesus Cristo em pessoa.
Você quer ter
a vida eterna ao lado de Jesus Cristo? Então faça o que é necessário – receba-o
como Salvador e Senhor de sua vida, ou seja, torne-se um seguidor fiel dele –
fiel à Palavra (Bíblia), fiel aos princípios de vida cristã.
Conforme o
texto de hoje, nos tempos do rei Salomão o povo de Deus, Israel, desviou-se de
Deus, e a consequência para a família do rei foi a perda de dez tribos do seu
reino. Continuando a ler a história, vemos como o povo também sofreu as
consequências. O desafio para nós, uma vez que também nos tornamos povo de Deus
por meio de Jesus Cristo, é não nos desviarmos do caminho dele.

desviou do caminho de Deus, arrependa-se, confesse isto a ele, e receberá o
perdão (1 João 1.9)!

What
good is a way? Serves to walk, walk, walk, etc, and especially to take us
somewhere. When we want to travel, firstly define where we want to go. Secondly
we chose the path by which we will, and this, once chosen, will help us achieve
our goal.
If we leave the streets asking if people want to go
to heaven or to hell, we will have the obvious answer: "of course I want
to go to heaven." If, then, we ask how to do to get there, the answers are
varied: "you have to be religious", "we need to keep the Ten
Commandments," "doing good deeds", "be nice", "we
need to treat others" and so on. But the only right answer is: Jesus
Christ. It won't be this or that religion, no matter what rules you comply: the
only answer is Jesus Christ. These things mentioned above in fact are part of
the Christian life and I also practice. I have nothing against them, but I want
to make clear is that the only way to get to heaven, that is, to have eternal
life, is Jesus Christ himself.
You
want to have eternal life to the side of Jesus Christ? Then do what is
necessary – receive him as Savior and Lord of your life, that is, become a
faithful follower of him – true to the Word (Bible), faithful to the principles
of Christian life.
As
the text today, in the times of King Solomon the people of God, Israel, turned
to God, and the consequence to the King's family was the loss of ten tribes of
his Kingdom. Continuing to read the story, we see how the people also suffered
the consequences. The challenge for us, because we become people of God through
Jesus Christ, is not to deviate from his path.

receive the forgiveness (1 John 1.9)!
