Estive hoje refletindo sobre minha infância e adolescência, pude lembrar
das coisas boas que vivi e também das ações más que pratiquei. Diante disso me
emocionei de alegria com alguns acontecimentos que vivenciei, mas com outras me
entristeci, pois se fosse hoje, tendo Deus em minha vida, jamais teria cometido
tais coisas – uma delas foi minha intimidade com as drogas. Se eu tivesse meios
de voltar ao passado para corrigir todos os meus erros, eu o faria, mas não
tenho este poder.
Se você
tivesse capacidade de voltar ao passado, o que você desejaria acertar? Imagino
que seriam muitas coisas, não é mesmo? O texto lido hoje trata da morte de um
homem rico e também de um mendigo chamado Lázaro, deixado coberto de chagas no
portão do primeiro, que não lhe mostrou compaixão. Os dois morreram e foram
levados para o mundo espiritual, onde o rico ficou no tormento e o pobre,
desfrutando de cuidados. Dentro deste texto Jesus relatou uma conversa de
Abraão (o pai da fé) com o homem rico. Com toda a sua riqueza, achando que
aproveitava bem a vida, ele não vivera de um modo que agradasse a Deus,
demonstrando amor ao seu semelhante. Agora, sujeito às consequências da sua
vida longe do Senhor, ele clamava por alívio e desejava que seus cinco irmãos
não passassem pelo mesmo sofrimento. No entanto, ele não podia modificar o seu
passado aqui na terra e nem salvar seus irmãos. Temos de buscar a Deus e a
reconciliação com ele aqui nesta vida, porque depois da nossa morte nada nem
ninguém da nossa família poderá fazer para reverter a nossa situação. Se nem
mesmo em vida podemos modificar o nosso passado, quanto menos depois de mortos.

I was today reflecting on my childhood and
adolescence, I was able to remember the good things I experienced and also of
bad actions. Whereupon I thrilled with joy with some events that I experienced,
but with other I was saddened me, as if it were today, having God in my life, I
never would have made such things – one of them was my intimacy with the drugs.
If I had the means to return to the past to correct all my mistakes, I would,
but I don't have that power.
If
you had the ability to go back in time, what would you change it? I imagine
that would be a lot of things, doesn't it? The text read today deals with the
death of a man Rico and a beggar named Lazarus, covered with wounds at the gate
of the first, that he showed compassion. They both died and were taken to the
spirit world, where Rico was in torment and the poor, with care. In this text
Jesus reported a conversation of Abraham (the father of faith) with the man
Rico. With all his wealth, believing that enjoyed life, he doesn't live in a
way that pleased God, showing love to your fellow man. Now, subject to the
consequences of his life away from the Lord, he cried for relief and wished his
five brothers spent the same suffering. However, he could not change his past
here on Earth and not save his brothers. We must seek God and reconciliation
with him here in this life, because after our death anything or anyone of our
family can do to reverse the situation. Even in life we can modify our past,
the less after dead.
