crescer e a espalhar-se (Atos 12.24).

Normalmente
temos a tendência de olhar para as dificuldades e para os problemas. Já lhe
aconteceu de entrar em algum ambiente e, mesmo que tudo esteja limpo e
ajeitado, o que lhe chama a atenção é aquilo que está fora de lugar ou então
alguma mancha ou sujeira? Assim somos muitas vezes em relação às diversas áreas
de nossa vida. De tanto olharmos para os problemas, não conseguimos olhar para
as boas coisas que Deus tem nos dado.
Ao ler o
capítulo 12 de Atos, poderíamos facilmente olhar apenas para os problemas.
Herodes está perseguindo a igreja (verso 1). Tiago, irmão de João, fora preso e
morto à espada (verso 2). Pedro havia sido lançado na prisão e libertado
somente por intervenção divina (versos 4, 11). O rei aceita ser chamado de Deus
e é punido por isto (vv 22,23). Ao vermos este cenário, poderíamos ficar
perplexos e desanimados. Lucas, o autor do livro de Atos, porém, consegue ter
outra percepção – veja sua afirmação final no versículo destaque. Chama a
atenção a conjunção adversativa “entretanto”. O autor tem plena consciência das
dificuldades. Ele não está ignorando os problemas, como se não existissem. O
que ele quer transmitir é que, apesar das dificuldades, Deus continua no
controle e cumpre o seu propósito na igreja e por meio dela. Esta estrutura
pode ser vista em diversos momentos no livro de Atos (2.47; 5.14; 6.7; 9.31;
12.24; 16.5; 19.20). Embora sejam relatadas as dificuldades, descrevem-se
também o crescimento numérico e qualitativo da igreja.
Esta lição
precisamos aprender. Sempre teremos dificuldades. Passaremos por lutas quase
todos os dias. “Entretanto”, precisamos aprender a reconhecer que mesmo assim
Deus está agindo e cumprindo os seus propósitos. Temos, portanto, o privilégio
de participar do crescimento e da propagação da Palavra e do Reino de Deus
nesta terra.

However,
the word of God continued to grow and spread (Acts 12.24).

Normally
we tend to look at the difficulties and the problems. Have you ever entered
into any environment, and even if everything is clean and informative, what
draws attention is what's out of place or some stain or dirt? So are many times
in relation to the various areas of our life. All this we look at the problems,
we can't look at the good things that God has given us.
While
reading Chapter 12 of Acts, we could easily look at the problems. Herod is
persecuting the Church (verse 1). James, brother of John, had been arrested and
killed by the sword (verse 2). Pedro had been released on prison and released
only by divine intervention (verses 4, 11). The King accepts being called God
and are punished (verses 22,23). When we see this scenario could be perplexed and
discouraged. Lucas, the author of the book of acts, however, can have another
perception – see your final statement in verse. Draws attention to adversative
conjunction "However". The author is fully aware of the difficulties.
He is not ignoring the problems, as if they didn't exist. What he wants to
convey is that, despite the difficulties, God is still in control and fulfill
its purpose in the Church and through it. This structure can be seen at various
times in the book of Acts (2.47; 5.14; 6.7; 9.31; 12.24; 16.5; 19.20). Although
they reported difficulties, also described the numerical and qualitative growth
of the Church.
This
lesson we need to learn. We will always have difficulties. We will pass through
fights almost every day. "However," we need to learn to recognize
that God is still acting and accomplishing his purposes. We therefore have the
privilege of participating in the growth and spread of the word and of the
Kingdom of God on this earth.

The growth of the Kingdom is not dependent on the problems or the lack
of them. Depends only on God.
