Virtudes Cristãs

Os livros de
Samuel destacam algumas vidas que nos devem servir de exemplo. O primeiro livro
tem dois homens virtuosos: Samuel e Davi.
A leitura
bíblica de hoje mostra três virtudes notórias em Davi. A primeira delas era seu
temor a Deus e sua dependência dele: quem teme a Deus lhe obedece, e obedecer é
depender da sua vontade. Conhecer para saber é importante, mas saber para
obedecer é decisivo.
O temor a Deus
levou Davi a ser misericordioso. Davi fazia justiça – essa era sua função como
comandante daquele povo, mas justiça e misericórdia devem andar juntas. Os
maldosos de seu exército queriam fazer justiça, mas ignoravam o valor do
trabalho em equipe. Os despojos de Davi foram conquistados com a ajuda divina,
e a glória do Senhor estava envolvida no destino a ser dado a eles. Poucos
conseguem identificar suas riquezas pessoais como pertencentes ao Senhor.
Davi estende
ainda mais suas virtudes. Sua misericórdia não abençoou somente os que foram à
batalha, mas também aos que ele resguardou, dando-lhes descanso. Depois sua
misericórdia ainda alcançou as autoridades de todos os territórios de Israel.
Temor leva à
obediência, justiça exalta a glória de Deus e misericórdia leva-nos a atos de
amor, de reconhecimento e de honra ao próximo. Essas são virtudes cristãs, mas
Davi já as possuía mil anos antes de Cristo. O virtuoso transforma os dias
terrenos em dias celestiais. Em certo sentido, ele antecipa o Reino dos céus.
Sem querer, Davi estava preparando o caminho para ser reconhecido como o
escolhido do Senhor, cumprindo a bem-aventurança de que os misericordiosos
obterão misericórdia. Temor, justiça, misericórdia distinguem os escolhidos de
Deus.

virtudes escandalizem alguns, opte por agradar a Deus.

The
books of Samuel highlight some lives that we should set an example. The first
book has two virtuous men: Samuel and David.
Today's
scriptural reading shows three virtues notorious in David. The first of these
was his fear of God and their dependence on him: who fears God obeys him, and
obey is depend on your willingness. Meet to know is important, but knowing how
to comply is decisive.
The
fear of God led David to be merciful. David did justice – this was his role as
Commander of that people, but justice and mercy must go together. The villains
of his army wanted to do justice, but were unaware of the value of teamwork.
The spoils of David were conquered with divine help, and the glory of the Lord
was involved in the destination to be given to them. Few can identify their
personal wealth as belonging to you.
David
further extends its virtues. His mercy has blessed not only those who went to
battle, but also that he preserved, giving them rest. After his mercy still
reached the authorities of all the territories of Israel.
Fear
leads to obedience, Justice extols the glory of God and mercy leads us to acts
of love, of recognition and honor to the next. These are Christian virtues, but
David had already 1000 years before Christ. The virtuoso turns the days in
Heavenly days. In a sense, he anticipates the Kingdom of heaven. Without
wanting to, David was paving the way to be recognized as the chosen of the
Lord, fulfilling the bliss that the merciful obtain mercy. Fear, justice, mercy
distinguish the chosen of God.
