Ruína

Cada um, porém, é tentado pelo próprio mau
desejo, sendo por este arrastado e seduzido. (Tiago 1.14).

O rei Salomão pediu a Deus sabedoria em vez de poder e riquezas, mas Ele lhe deu também riquezas e glória. Porém
o sábio também cometeu erros graves, que arruinaram seu legado. O ápice do
desastre aconteceu já no reinado de seu filho: ele conseguiu a “proeza” de
dividir o reino. Mas, teria a ruína acontecido de repente? O registro bíblico
mostra que não: foi uma soma de escolhas equivocadas.
Ninguém acorda dizendo: “Hoje vou dar um jeito de arruinar minha vida”. Ou
“Vou envolver-me com drogas, quero me destruir”. Será que alguém no camburão
está colhendo um fruto que desejou? Alguém em sã consciência planejaria
destruir o próprio lar?
Todos têm na vida uma decisão principal a tomar: quem quer ser. Ela deveria
nortear as pequenas decisões do dia-a-dia, mas não é o que acontece em geral:
escolhas pequenas (que nem são identificadas como decisões) são as que, no
final das contas, determinam o resultado.
O cristão é, por definição, alguém que decidiu tornar-se aprendiz de
Jesus, e a esta decisão principal todas as demais deveriam subordinar-se: tudo
o que eu fizer deve contribuir para crescimento como discípulo de Jesus. Contudo,
vejo muitas (e confesso que cansei de ver em mim mesmo) pessoas comprometidas
com Cristo que diariamente decidem – sem perceber – coisas que apontam para
outro lado. O sujeito trabalha na igreja, canta, ora, lê a Bíblia, e fica
surpreso ao ver a vida caminhar para longe do propósito divino. É que, mesmo
com um compromisso sincero com Jesus, deixou de perceber que suas pequenas decisões
diárias, despercebidas, permitiram que a sedução do mundo exercesse seu papel. Encher
os olhos, ouvidos e mente com o que não convém prepara o coração para fazer
escolhas erradas. É preciso estar atento às escolhas que se faz sem se dar
conta, pois é difícil escapar dos resultados.

King
Solomon asked God wisdom instead of power and wealth, but he has also given
riches and glory. But the wise also made serious mistakes, which ruined his
legacy. The apex of the disaster happened in the reign of his son: he got the
"feat" of dividing the Kingdom. But, would ruin happened all of a
sudden? The biblical record shows that: it was a sum of misguided choices.
Nobody
wakes up saying: "today I will find a way to ruin my life." Or
"I'm going to get involved with drugs, want to destroy me". Does
anyone in the paddy wagon is reaping a fruit that you wished? Anyone in their
right mind could destroy their own home?
All
they have in life a major decision to make: who wants to be she should guide
the small decisions of everyday life, but it's not what happens in General:
small choices (which aren't even identified as decisions) are those that, in
the end, determine the result.
The
Christian is, by definition, someone who has decided to become an apprentice of
Jesus, and all the other main decision should comply: everything I do must
contribute to growth as a disciple of Jesus. However, I see many (and I confess
that I'm tired of seeing myself) people committed to Christ daily decide –
without realizing it-things that point to other side. The subject works in the
Church, sing, pray, read the Bible, and is surprised to see the life to walk
away from the divine purpose. Is that even with a sincere commitment to Jesus,
realizing that their small daily decisions, unnoticed, allowed the seduction in
the world exercise their role. Fill the eyes, ears and mind with what you don't
want to get the heart to make wrong choices. You need to be aware of the
choices you make without realizing it, because it is difficult to escape.
