Em busca da beleza

Quando ia apresentar-se ao rei, a moça
recebia tudo o que quisesse levar consigo do harém para o palácio do rei (Ester
2.13).

O mundo tem
seus mecanismos de atração. Na minha juventude, os jovens que frequentavam a
igreja sonhavam com grandes posições. Só que seus sonhos se restringiam ao
sucesso nesta vida. Alguns chegaram a me confessar que não valeu a pena, em
nenhum sentido, o sacrifício que fizeram.
Você leu hoje
sobre outra busca que também foi frustrada. O rei persa estava promovendo uma
espécie de “concurso de beleza” para escolher sua nova rainha. Para a
apresentação diante dele, grandes preparativos eram feitos. Não há como sabermos
os sonhos que aquelas jovens alimentavam, mas podemos imaginar que tinham
esperança de dias futuros cheios de glória, pompa, riqueza, honras e fama. Se
não alcançassem este objetivo, seu tempo, seus recursos e talvez a própria vida
seriam um desperdício. Não demorou muito e isso realmente aconteceu com a
maioria delas, quando Ester foi escolhida. E você, o que tem buscado?
Se você já
entregou sua vida a Cristo, então você é, simbolicamente, uma noiva
embelezando-se para o encontro com seu Rei. Sua vida é transformada e moldada a
cada dia pelo Espírito Santo. Seus preparativos jamais serão desperdiçados,
pois são baseados na esperança de vida eterna fundamentada no evangelho. Um
exemplo disso foi Estêvão: mesmo sendo morto por proclamar Jesus Cristo, foi honrado
por Deus com uma visão gloriosa: “Estevão, cheio do Espírito Santo, levantou os
olhos para o céu e viu a glória de Deus, e Jesus em pé, à direita de Deus, e
disse: ‘Vejo os céus abertos e o Filho do homem em pé, à direita de Deus’” (Atos
7.55-56).
A beleza do
caráter cristão é que merece nosso investimento. Isso é o que os filhos de Deus
devem buscar, pois é assim que eles devem apresentar-se a seu Rei!

The
world has its attraction mechanisms. In my youth, the young people attending
the Church dreamed of large positions. Only your dreams if restricted to
success in this life. Some came to confess that it wasn't worth it, in any
sense, they sacrificed.
Did
you read today about another search that also was frustrated. The Persian King
was promoting a kind of "beauty contest" to choose their new Queen.
For submission before him, great preparations were made. There is no way of
knowing the dreams that those young people fed, but we can imagine that had
hope of future glory-filled days, pomp, wealth, honour and fame. If you don't
achieve this goal, their time, their resources, and maybe his own life would be
a waste. It didn't take long and it really happened with most of them, when
Esther was chosen. What have you tried?
If
you already gave her life to Christ, then you are, symbolically, a bride
beautifying for the date with her King. Your life is transformed and shaped
each day by the Holy Spirit. Their preparations will never be wasted, since
they are based on the hope of eternal life based on the Gospel. An example of
this was Stephen: even being killed by proclaiming Jesus Christ, was honored by
God with a glorious sight: "Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to
heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God,
and said: ' I see the heavens opened and the son of man standing at the right
hand of God '" (Acts 7.55-56).
The
beauty of Christian character deserves our investment. That's what God's
children should get, because that's how they must speak to your King!

Worth investing in beauty that will never pass and the treasure that
cannot be stolen.
