Sabedoria

Se algum de vocês tem falta de sabedoria,
peça-a a Deus, que a todos dá livremente, de boa vontade; e lhe será
concedida (Tiago 1.5).

Seba era um homem que se rebelou contra o rei Davi, que deu ordens para
seu exército persegui-lo. Este, sob o comando de Joabe, cercou a cidade na qual
Seba estava. Quando o exército estava para destruir a muralha, uma mulher sábia
gritou de lá chamando por Joabe e o lembrou de que o povo daquela cidade era
pacífico, fiel e sábio, e que seria uma injustiça arruiná-la. Joabe então diz
que não quer destruir a cidade, mas apenas um homem chamado Seba, que se
rebelara contra Davi. A mulher conversou com seus compatriotas e estes
entregaram o homem rebelde. A cidade permaneceu intacta, ninguém mais morreu. O
exército partiu dali com sua missão cumprida.
A atitude
dessa mulher, de quem não sabemos o nome nem a qual família pertencia, fez toda
a diferença para uma cidade inteira. Ela impediu uma matança.
Lemos em Salmo
111.10 que “o temor do Senhor é o princípio da sabedoria”. Para sermos sábios
precisamos reconhecer que sem Deus somos criaturas perdidas, mas que existe um
Senhor soberano que nos ama e nos quer resgatar por meio de Jesus Cristo.
Quando vivemos situações de tensão, somos levados a agir precipitadamente e sem
pensar, mas a sabedoria nos dá paciência e faz agir no momento certo. A mulher
de que lemos gritou no momento certo. A sabedoria também nos dá a capacidade de
influenciar as pessoas ao nosso redor. Após falar com Joabe, a mulher foi falar
com todo o povo da cidade, dando o seu sábio conselho. Seus interesses não
foram egoístas. Quem teme o Senhor está em sintonia com a vontade dele.
Busque a
sabedoria que vem do Senhor e deixe que ele conduza as situações que se
apresentam a cada dia. Quando vivemos de acordo com a Palavra de Deus, podemos
fazer grande diferença na vida daqueles que nos rodeiam, mesmo sendo anônimos
perante o mundo.

Wisdom

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that all give freely,
willingly; and you will be granted (James 1.5).

Seba was a man who rebelled against King David,
who gave orders to his army pursue it. This, under the command of Joab,
besieged the city in which Seba was. When the army was to destroy the wall, a
wise woman cried out there calling for Joab and reminded him that the people of
that city was peaceful, loyal and wise, and it would be an injustice. Joab then
says he doesn't want to destroy the city, but only a man named Seba, who
rebelara against David. The woman talked to his countrymen and these delivered
the rebellious man. The city remained intact, no one else died. The army broke
out with their mission accomplished.
The attitude of this woman, who does not know the name or whose family
belonged, made all the difference for an entire city. She stopped on a killing
spree.
We read in Psalm 111.10 that "the fear of the Lord is the beginning
of wisdom". To become wise we must recognize that without God we are
creatures lost, but there is a sovereign Lord who loves us and wants us to
rescue through Jesus Christ. When we live in situations of tension, we are led
to act rashly and without thinking, but wisdom gives us patience and do act at
the right time. The woman read shouted at the right time. Wisdom also gives us
the ability to influence the people around us. After talking with Joab, the
woman was talking to all the people of the city, giving his sage advice. Their
interests were not selfish. Those who fear the Lord is in line with his will.
Seek the wisdom that cometh from the Lord and let him drive the
situations that present themselves each day when we live according to the word
of God, we can make a big difference in the lives of those around us, even
being anonymous before the world.

daring to face the challenges.
